    When you say check range OOP as the 3-bettor do you mean on some boards or all boards?

    • @ColliePoker-re4sx
      @ColliePoker-re4sx 4 дня назад

      X range is sort of a lower stakes exploit idea and only on the boards that are bad for you. But also it just generally holds true that check is an underutilized tool and an underprotected range

    Assuming it's a range bet there's 99 TT pure and some 88 QJ 76 which totals to around 10 combos let's say Bluffs are hands like 87 which is probably not in this line, JT QT are fairly debatable because they seem like slam dunk calls, so i would expect those not to raise, this leads to a fairly low adjusted bluff combo count. Now, if you make a read about his flop size it gets even worse. His size is going to be heavy on 99 88 AA AK AQ and very very lacking in hands like 87 JT QT. You are COOKED. Nice fold

    • @DonkOrleone-y7w
      @DonkOrleone-y7w 3 месяца назад

      I would also say hands like A9 A8 seem relatively unintuitive because A blocks bluffs, but again, I think flop size is discounting those hands in the first place and they dont even 3b pure preflop, they can barrel turn on a perceived good card etc

    I dont play 2.5k NL but I dont think anyone would find A9 and p7s. The obvious corollary is that he is finding other bluffs that aren't in the solver.

    • @ColliePoker-re4sx
      @ColliePoker-re4sx 3 месяца назад

      I actually find that these bluffs are pretty natural because they are natural pure checks on the river, and they feel terrible facing a bet, but I don't know if this is average. It's also easy to see that 77 blocks 76s and A9 blocks 99 or T9. Maybe AK is more natural for people, or something but yeah I tend to think they will find these bluffs (if the hands exist for them in the first place)

    Hi Seb. I just have a couple of questions for you. I remember that in one of your early videos for Carrot Corner (it might have been on the Twitch stream) you mentioned that you were struggling at 200NL before getting coaching from Qing Yang. I just wanted to ask, as you climbed the stakes, did you see much of a difference between each stake? Was there a big jump in game difficulty between 100NL and 200NL? I'm not sure what stake you played when you started out. For me personally 50NL specifically has for a long time been the 'glass ceiling' of my own poker career. I've always found that the really low microstakes, specifically 2NL, 5NL and 10NL, are pretty easy to beat by just playing well preflop and not making big punts postflop. There is a slight jump between 10NL and 25NL, but then 50NL is where I think small to medium leaks start to really get exposed. I just see a lot of people getting roadblocked or hardstuck there. I'm not sure if this also happens at higher stakes. I assume it does. I've heard there's another huge jump in difficulty between 200NL and 500NL. Curious if you have any thoughts about this Seb.

    • @ColliePoker-re4sx
      @ColliePoker-re4sx 4 месяца назад

      I think the jump from 25 to 50 is one of the biggest, but ultimately it's all failure linear. As you move up, you get less fish and less blunders from regs, but the game remains the same. I would say some skills higher stakes players have that lower stakes players lack: know how to checkraise a good range in different spots, learning when and how to float with what hands, raising in 3bp, overbetting more with both low and high equity, valuebetting the river thin, 4betting a balanced range, and protecting the checking range

    • @ColliePoker-re4sx
      @ColliePoker-re4sx 5 месяцев назад

      OOP PFR 3b range contains more offsuit hands because of blocker properties. A fold from IP is a good result, so just having two broadways has added value. IP knows they see a flop if they call, so their range is more condensed around suited cards. There will be some nuance depending on exact board but it's a good rule of thumb

    If I check river, villian B50, and I raise, then V shoves? How does that effect range filtering? Like BTN vs BB, if V never calls a bet he stiil lands on the river with his entire range of opening hands.

    • @ColliePoker-re4sx
      @ColliePoker-re4sx 5 месяцев назад

      The equity threshold for stacks will probably have decreased a bit but not drastically. This is basically a war of delayed traps. What will matter most is if villain is capable of trapping here enough and controlling frequency of bluffs / if villain is capable of finding a 3b river shove as a bluff. Ultimately all your bluffs catchers with decent blockers will call on aggregate at a frequency to render his bluffs indifferent, in theory.

    I remember, as a HU SNG player ''back in the day'', solving raw EV equations for push or fold situations by myself. Then eventually I upgraded to Excel spreadsheets. Today I am a very GTO oriented player, but that period still gave me a certain understanding of poker concepts that some young players who just try to memorize solvers don't have.
