First Trip of the Summer was Great! Got to spend time with my lil Bro his Wife, and my Family. I will be back to explore more of the Coast but without my Children in early September. I am Happy with the amount of acceptable Photos I was able to make and now I have an idea an how to pack for Oregon.

But, the Black and White Files are BEAUTIFUL! I really love the way these Canon FD Lenses look in the photos this Camera produces. The photos I took on this day were slightly edited in Lightroom. The Fujifilm X-E1 Colors... better than the XE-4? - EP1
I'm very pleased to see someone taking care of the cranking lever, you go slowly and gently, that's the way to go man ✌️
Yo i got an ild beat up exacta for sale on ebay. The waist level vf is pretty nutso what format does this shoot?
What camera is that?
Exacta VX500
you should like a chill dude. keep it up, very chill video
Great photos! Keep it up.
Really enjoyed your video and your photos are fantastic. I watched a lot of videos regarding the X-E1 by many folks on RUclips. Everyone bring something different, but yours was unique. I have the same camera… I bought it about four years ago and I’ve only recently gotten into it.
Your lens lock well on the camera? On my x-e1 make a little movement at the bayonett
IMO 25mm f2 on X-e4 is better than x100v. Due to the cam's limited ISO range (160~?)and my tendency to shoot wide open, I always put on a CPL to help with accidental overexposure. So far so good.
X100V or XT30 II ?????
XT30ii
CAN ANYONE HELP? every other video I saw of this lens mentioned curved/warped corners in images with this lens (+fuji). But I can see none here. What's happening?
Keep it up! Show the results of those assignments…it will awesome to see it. 😊
So relaxing Beautiful colors I love both videos & photos
Raw ya edited??
👀
Cool channel man, keep up the great work
Its only over when you quit.
Mann, I love it. What recipe did you use on that second pic of the boy in the water? Skin-tones of that photo look amazing. Recently picked up an X-E1 too cuz of the sensor.
Fuji is the best
Great work Kevin, both photo and video 👌👏👏. Keep on creating 👊
Thanks man! Everyone could use some encouragement now and again. Hope you subscribe I got big things planned😁
Intrigued by vertically orientated shots - what makes you frame this way ? I’d like to hear your thought process more since you are bringing your GoPro anyway. I got the Viltrox speedboosters for M43 and Canon APS-C, but I steer away from them if I can now. They add instability to my set up, and I don’t like the performance hit despite the increase in low light capability. For the money you better off buying a 5D Classic or a 5D mkII FF body imho. Buy a cheap EF to M42 adapter and shoot with cheap Russian, Minolta lenses. Or EF of course. Keep it up, subbed ❤
I will talk about this in my next video☺️
Hope you are doing well - keep doing what you love. Saw your first video - layout passion shined through. Hone your craft, find a mentor, find photograph peers. ❤ from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thank you for the nice message ❤️ Photography isn't very common where I live but I'm sure I'll meet some friends with similar interests eventually. Thanks again and hope you continue to follow the channel. Have a great day!
Hey! Amazing content! Ordered right away ahah By the way, i saw your thumbnail, your camera with xt-30 with the thumb grip. May i know if its solid and does it move around / loose in the hotshoe? Wanted to get one but saw a few reviews on this matter. Thanks!
Ya it does have some wiggle room. For a fix I just cut a small piece of 35mm film and pushed it in the hot shoe with the thumb rest. Kind of a weird fix but it works perfectly lol.
Hopefully I earned a sub from you lol
Did it fit like a glove right after? You’ve earned a sub for sure 😁👍
@@adrianlee438 ya man it fits perfectly now!
@@Kevins_Camera thank you so much for spending your time on this comment! Can’t wait for your future videos! ❤️
Nice! My kind.
Dude…. Risking your life with those geese. Photos are the bomb though!
😂😂😂 thank you!
Damn fooool. Do you have inst?
Yes I do! Kevie_Rodriguez.
Love the black and white pictures :)
Sick stuff bro! Keep it up!
Thanks for the love!
IM IN LOVE WITH MINE! LOOKS BETTER THAN FULL FRAME RAW WITH THE RIGHT GLASS. THE 56 1.2 is a beast!!
nice one man
Just ordered my XT-5! First video of yours I’ve watched. Don’t let the mental stuff drag you down. If I can ever be a help, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thanks man❤
Nice video!
Thank you❤
love the music and the footages, nice job, best regards from Romania
Thank you😊
Hey, you are not alone...just keep yourself busy until you get very tired...and what i learned: you can't get well if you stay where they broke you....
It's an AMAZING review and great photos!!! Which lens did you use it? And which one you recommend for this camera for street photo? Thank you so much! 🤙
Viltrox 23mm is the one I used and I would recommend the Fuji 23mm f2 for street! Thank you for the positive comment.
Only problem is it's not a AF lens.
I would like to have an X-E1 with a folding display.
It seems that all of the T800/800T film out there is Kodak tungsten cine film with the remjet removed and then rolled into 35mm canisters. So the results should be pretty similar -- the prices differ a bit, and it looks like some of the less-expensive versions have some light artifacts on them. But -- regardless, they are great, as you show, for night shots with lights....
the light artifacts are static discharges, side effect of the removal of the remjet
I have this camera I really like Astra Soft jpegs.
If you have a runny nose drink salt water. Just put a little sea salt at the bottom of a glass and drink it and it will clear your nose right up.
which country ?? brother..
Twin Falls, Idaho, United States
A good way to prove the quality of this lens. May I ask about the film simulation that you used in your sample photos? I’m using Fujifilm X-T2 body.
What sample photos are you referring to? I have the recipe names in the bottom left corner in the video all from the Fuji x weekly website.
@@Kevins_Camera Thank you! The source of those recipes was exactly what I am trying find out. Very great photos!
I am actually using the TTArtisan 23mm f1.4 on my Sony a6000 as an X100V substitute. It's exactly the same 23mm focal plus a stop brighter than X100V. All modern "vintage" Chinese lenses, more or less, are not corrected and uses a true vintage optical design of some kind. TTArtisan uses the Sonnar design (if i am correct) that is very sharp in the center at any aperture but fall apart towards the edges. That's not a flaw of the lens but rather a part of its character. Unlike most of the modern zooms or cheaper AF primes, the edge softness and filed curvature here are desirable for artistic purpose and, in my opinion, that's their selling point. To the contrary, take any kit lens and test its performance: there are nowhere sharp, and the image looks just technically bad because these lenses are using modern designs (aspherical or LD) from the pricier glass but with less and lower quality elements for cost savings. On the other side, TTArtisan (or other Chinese brands) are tac sharp where you need them to be (from f/5.6 and bellow) while at wider apertures are sharp only in the center, where it matters, leaving the out of focus area with a nice vintage bokeh (they even kept the field curvature uncorrected to match the old lenses).
Does anyone know how to remove the green focus frame? I prefer a viewfinder to have nothing in it. I can’t seem to find a setting that removes it.
What's up Kevin! Did a great job in your first video. I went and watched a few more. Hopefully we'll see more content from you. Mostly a film photographer for 40 plus years. I think I'm going to purchase a X-E1. I do have a question for you. I am looking for a tablet to do editing on and I know there's tons of reviews but you did such a nice job in your videos I think I would trust your opinion. I saw you in the first video using a tablet and I presume editing. What tablet are you using and how is that working for you? Kind regards, David
Definitely the iPad 12" with the M1 chip! That's what I have and I even edit 4K footage on it. Thank you for your nice comment hopefully you subscribe and I am working on multiple videos hopefully I can put one out this weekend 😃
Great video. I'm digging the Reflx Labs 800T quite a lot. $12.99 and $5 flat shipping. Takes about 2 weeks but worth it.
Lol that's crazy you commented just now while I just finished shooting some Cinestill 800T 😂 what a coincidence! I haven't heard of reflex labs yet, where are you getting it from? Do you like it better than Cinestill 800T?
@@Kevins_Camera just checked my notifications! I never used Cinestill 800t but from the samples I've seen and my own results, they look identical. They also use the same exact film stock as well.
X-E1, X-E3, X-E4, X-T30 ii, GR iii, whyyy do you have so many cameras? Four cameras that serve identical purposes? You have way too many cameras but you’re rocking TT artisan lenses. I think you should stop caring so much about the camera bodies since the ones you do own seem to have a lot of redundancy between each other. You don’t need an X-T30 and an X-E1 , aaand an X-E3, AND an X-E4. Thats ridiculous. They serve the exact same purpose. I’d say keep one of the four bodies, sell the rest and use the cash to replace your artisan lenses for at least Fuji F2 primes.. and keep the GR iii if you find yourself in situations with it where the Fuji’s couldn’t have been small enough. There is absolutely no reason to own this many bodies.. especially when they’re so similar to each other.
Just to be clear, these images are straight out of camera, just using the film recipes?
Yessir the recipes I named from Fuji x weekly
