Recently retired, not from choice, but because 2 types of cancer needs to be addressed and well, one is enough and two a bit much, but that AND work? So I retired 6 months prior to my planned date. Needing something to occupy my time I found this historical piece of machinery that was just begging to be restored. Much like Vice Grip Garage's Derek would do with a vehicle, I will do with this lathe. However, there will be no driving it 600 miles home as I will do all the work right here!
GMC Truck Hood Repair - GMC truck hood repair using VGG Hood Repair 6000
While visiting our son in Texas I had the opportunity to help him install this VGG Hood Repair 6000, which interestingly enough, he has already ordered prior to our arrival. It was a great father / son time and we finished it together. Now, on to the brakes!

This video is just an update on where I am in the process of repairing the Generac Generator. I found this Generac 7000 EXL Generator on Face Book Marketplace. I was looking for projects to keep me busy in this new land of retirement and drove 20 miles out to look at it 3 times. I finally made the decision to buy it and brought it home.

OZIUM Odor Eliminator Review

OZIUM Odor Eliminator is single-shot total air refresh, as the product packaging says. My 2007 Silverado had a underlying odor so I found this product and gave it a try. I'll do an update in a week or two to let you know how it's lasting. So far, it refreshed my vehicle, just like it said it would.

Sylvania Headlight Restore - Product Review
Просмотров 26Месяц назад
This Sylvania Headlight Restoration was just what I needed to get my headlights shiny and bright. It was only $21.00, which was much less than the $85.00 it would have cost me to replace the headlights. Rather than going through the process of tearing the front part of my truck apart to replace them, I decided to try this Headlight Restore kit from Sylvania purchased on Amazon. www.amazon.com/S...
Yard Machine Lawn Mower Repair
Просмотров 2Месяц назад
This mower was not running when it was brought in for repair. Although it had spark, it wouldn't run. The plug was weak so I cleaned it, which improved it's performance. Watch to see what other obstacles I had to overcome in order to get the thing running again.

Episode 12: 1927 South Bend Lathe Restoration COMPLETE
Просмотров 92 месяца назад
This restoration has been fun, and challenging at times. Changing out the switch and the motor were the most difficult parts, but I worked it out and learned something in the process, which is always a plus. Now I have a workable lathe that I can spend countless hours on making parts I need for other projects.

And it's a wrap! Nice job, guys.
"My dad always said..." ❤️
Looks safer than Dan, the man from Escape to Rural France. I'm glad you're not into big refurbishing projects...yet.
Have to say I'm impressed that you're working with your son, and I don't hear any of those special words Dad used to use.
😂the shirts!!! I thought you went to Texas for a vacation, not to make a commercial. You better be careful. You're going to be coming out of retirement and back to work 😂
Hello Mr Fix-it😎 ❤❤❤❤❤

Ya know I think I should buy stock in blue painters tape!😂😂😂
Nice job Paul. I haven’t had time to watch all of them but I will eventually!🥰❤️❤️❤️👍
Saw your comment on the boring channel. Thought i would check it out. Suggestion for you find a program and edit your video as it appears the start repeats at 6:11. Would have loved to see up close of the belt and how it attaches and mounts to the unit Your husband has a lot of knowledge and happy he is sharing.
