    It is time to get right with Jesus. You aren’t going to automatically enter into heaven if you have lied or stolen or had premarital sex. Even one of those makes you worthy of hell fire. Don’t deceive yourself! The punishment of sin is hell fire. Jesus died so you can get a clean slate and forgiveness of a future sin when we confess it. When you start to follow him you have to strive to obey what he commands. No one will enter heaven without the blood of Jesus over you. No other way but through Jesus.

    I initiated this interview/concert video. Some facts to it: We filmed in the Maarwegstudio2 in cologne (germany). That is an old, dry sounding studio. The drumset was mine basically (Chris only brought the cymbals). So, the snare is a Horst Link signature 8" deep Bubinga snare from Sonor. The snare really by itself sounds special and can be tuned easily in this direction. Snare bottom (Remo clear super thin reso-head) cranked up and a bit higher than the top. Snare top was - i think - a controlled sound coated from Remo. Maybe it was an Ambassador, I can't remember. The kick is a 20" Gretsch RB (Jasper Shells), very vintage. Filled up between 1/2 and 2/3 with blankets and paper. I think Chris did that by himself, can't remember. It was superdry. I found the setting of the seat (very, very, very high....maximum height) and the setting of the kick-pedal (DW 9000, very fast response...pretty tight screw) very helpful to achieve the style of playing. I tried it after he was gone. He also liked the metallic side-snare (also 8" deep). That is a big chief from Masshoff. So, mainly german brands. Who would've though :-). Cheers, Sönke

      i might be late to answer you haha It's actually just a 4/4 time signature but the back beat is cropped into groups of seven 3 groups of seven and a last group of eleven notes, for a total of 32 so it's fits into 2 measures of 4/4 if you consider it as groupings of 16ths notes. You can hear it in the album version, it starts as a " normal " 4/4 beat, then only the drums and bass change pattern but the meter and the keys chords stay the same ! i hope it helped :)

      @@PyjamaMusic It’s been a long time haha.. Later that year I actually preformed this song on stage playing bass, great experience. And your explanation is very different than the way I understood it but perfectly correct so thank you so much

    • @rani.aviv_

      @@PyjamaMusic my teacher at the time told me to divide the beat into four sections of 8 notes and then learn by heart the specific placement of each note on an even 32 notes beat. I think it’s an odd and non functional way to hear this beat but it really helped some of the band members get it. Basically the whole time you hear the bigger 4/4 but you place the kick and the snare in these odd places and the result is playable but listeners will hear a completely different thing than that we hear while counting and playing.

    • @PyjamaMusic
      @PyjamaMusic 2 года назад

      @@rani.aviv_ haha that's also a great way to feel it and i would say it's much more reliable since you " hear it " against a normal pulse. That's also the way i think about some of tigran hamasyan's riffs, but i often switch between the way i described it and the way you described it ! that's so cool thank you for your answer :)
