My buddy just got a 2006 300 5.7 and his has wires but mine doesnt
All 5.7's from 05 have wires. Starting in 2006, Dodge switched to a full coil on plug design🤙🏼
😳 bro you probably just literally saved my life, I have a 2011 dodge charger 5.7 rt, and for weeks and months I been ignoring the coolant even tho I been telling myself I should put some in I never do it, just tonight the red light bolt came on😳, then my car started making crazy sounds‼️😳😳😳 then right when I pulled into my job and parked the whole car just turned off on me😳😳😳😳😳😳I’m buying coolant first thing in the morning lbvs I hope it’s all I would need I haven’t put coolant in there since the beginning of last year

I didn’t know they had a metal one, after I purchased a new plastic one. SO I J.B.Weld-painted my plastic one, not to the hose ends. Rated to 600 degrees. Q?- should I use The New Preston Green or go back and get Dex Cool orange ?🍊

Unfortunately they are the ONLY option for my vehicle. My OEM housings on my GTO are fogging and hazes up during the rain. If there were OEMs available, I'd buy. That being said, the GTO ones aren't too gaudy and are somewhat subdued
I see the use for some cases like the GTO, more of just a critique on the 95% of housings and styling choices spyder and spec-d make. I'm sure there's always used oem ones on ebay but it still might have the same issue
@@JesseBusse OEM ones if available are expensive lol. For now I'll have to resort to using a Spyder set soon and I'll probably put my originals in a convection oven we have at work that can go to 180° so I can separate the lens and either repair or replace it. It's bad though, water has seeped inside and the light has I guess heated and cooled that water a lot so it's cracked on the inside and hazy from the inside

Quick question. Does the driveshaft slide out as you drop the rear?
Slide out as in how? It's held in place by a center support carrier bearing. If you mean the actual differential itself it's just bolted in place. As soon as you take out the bolts holding the rubber damper it falls down.

@@nategorsline3179 nope, but I did the EGR adaptation and recently, I unplugged the vacuum hose to it and plugged it to kill it altogether. No issues with doing that. 👍🏻

@@nategorsline3179 you need VCDS to do it. Basically it turns down the amount the EGR cycles to keep things cleaner in the intake. Technically it's a "off road" adaptation. 😉 This was for the ALH engine, btw. Its a way to keep the soot down while keeping the intake stock without having to mess around with putting in a race pipe.

So you didn’t drain the radiator at all? I’ve seen other videos where they drain it & still has a decent amount of coolant leaking out of the outlet. I’m Debating on avoiding draining the radiator. Sounds like it’ll be a mess either way
You can, I decided not to since 1) I didn't really have a proper way of catching the fluid as you could see. And 2) the car was so low on coolant it was only gonna spill out a little bit anyway

What's the size of your throttle body and do you remember the model number of your air intake? I live in NY and we adopted the horrible Cali emissions laws smh
It's just the oem throttle body and the air intake was the more generic style one that K&N offered. Fits both the 5.7 and the 6.1. Hope this helps

Yep, I mentioned in a later video and in this video's description to buy oem sensors. If you buy aftermarket like standard ignition or masterpro, it'll go out after a week or two. Do it right or do it twice. Hope this helps🤙🏼

2:12 The 5.7L Hemi oil filter arm baptism. Been there many times. I saw in another video that you are supposed to loosen the filter and let the metal spout below it act as an oil drain spout. After it drains a bit, you should remove the oil filter.

Can't remember the actual brand but we got it off of ebay. A long as it's new that's what I'd recommend, not a rebuild kit you do yourself. Let me know if you have any other questions

If your car is shutting off you'll likely have a check engine light too. I'd get that scanned first before you start to throw money at it blindly

Just make sure you order the 10.4 mm wires and not the 8.4 mm like shown in the video and you'll be set
Would it be easier to drop subframe lower , lets say on stands or some sort of support. And just remove it and just bolt up.
No, realigning the subframe bolts is a pain and a half no matter how carefully you drop it and raise it again. Just drop the front two bolts like shown in the video🤙🏼

Just got some spyder headlights for my obs chevy. Theyre actually really good looking, regular chrome housing with a glass lens. Like them so far, no fogging either since theyre not composite.

Which year srt model rear end did you get & all you did was get a set drive shaft or just another 5.7 driveshaft bro??? Curious so if i do it myself i know what needa be done so i wont have to double back😅😅
Came out of an 07 Magnum SRT. The driveshaft came with the rear end because it is different as mentioned in the video. The RT driveshaft is a 3 spline while the SRT is 4 spline. It fits into the original driveshaft that connects to the transmission so all you need is the rear section with the carrier bearing. Hope this helps🤙🏼
