I close my eyes and I could bet sn RSD16 going by with a 7 car commuter train on the San Martin line. cheers from Buenos Aires, 🇦🇷 Argentina
Nice catch! It’s very interesting to see those coal hoppers coming back. Hopefully this means the coal industry is returning…
Damn son!! 2102’s exhaust was so loud that it drowned out that very loud reading 6 chime 🤣
AWESOME!!!! it’s so great to see our favorite GP9 back. Great job Steamtown getting the old girl back up and running!
Hello. I just want to ask if you maybe know someone who could for me record all notches inside locomotive cab. Greetings
@@1ales1 If I can find it I have a full 1-8 notch up of that locomotive from the outside I could upload. But an in cab I'm afraid no can do.
@@Alco244 Ok. Maybe do you have any recommendation where I can write mail about that. I need this inside cab sounds for train sim and my personal collection. And if you interested you can find on my profile 2 videos from our locomotive cab with 16-645E. Greetings
They are creepy little guys
flys
i paced them at zehners doing 40mph! then chased to port clinton! Huge 50-60 car train was awesome!
Interesting; is there anything coming out of the rear exhaust, and what is 'blowdown? Thanks.
@@petert9749 A blowdown is pretty much turning the engine over with some valves open to make sure there's no water in the cylinders. As for why the front stack smokes more on this locomotive I'm really not sure of the reason.
I see our favorite jet engine is on. I love the M420 for the incredible turbo set up
AWESOME!! it’s such a great sight to see these old locomotives still surviving and working like they should be
Cool! Is that at Steamtown? Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍
Yes sir it is.
I love the Vintage EMD GP9 Enginesound makes me fell comfortable
I previously used to be a foamer But now am not a foamer anymore
This is absolutely wonderful. There’s nothing I love more than the sound of Alcos and EMDs
I guess you had to be there.
He looks a bit dejected, I’d make a fuss of him. Give him his favourite treat, tell him you love him. They know!
Whenever i see a heritage unit, i foam because they arent common on my line. The last one to come up my line (I think) was NS 8103 back in 2019. But I DO foam over different LOCOMOTIVES as well. Preferably the AC6000.
😂. Sorry for laughing, but the way it sounded starting up, I thought it was a tool for loosening/tightening lug nuts connected to an air compressor
Haha, It does sound similar
Thx for subbing man
I can hear the bad fan bearings, but overall it sounds good
The way an Alco diesel is supposed to sound.
@@chuckeberth4370You got that right.
Reminds me of the early days of Conrail. They moved all their big Centuries to the shops at Mingo Junction Ohio to work heavy coal and iron ore trains on the Cleveland and Pittsburgh line, which passed my house on the other side of the Ohio River.
Sounds like India's WDG3A
So cool!!
Great video, so glad you were there to share with us who could not!!!
I was filming there as well. This was some epic action that day.
Nice!
Nice!
Nice New Subscriber!
Now this is what we call EMD at its best! A classic 645E3 in the greatest diesel ever built in North America. Still enjoying the sound in 2024.

Definitely sounds like the m3 on the DL rs3’s. These are beautiful horns. I will never shut up about how glad I am to own one.
One of the greatest catches I’ve ever ever seen. The new Pittston station is absolutely wonderful.
