Turner and Cox do a lot of the engine parts for them engines!
Very interesting video Dave. I have a great interest in freeing up engines at present as I have an International B-275 with a stuck engine. I am going to try and free it up by putting fluids in the bores first, if that don't work, I am expecting the worse and going for a full rebuild. I hope you can find what you are looking for, for your baler, would be great to see it run and working in the near future.
Good video, would like to see this baler again when its up and running, I came across another 701 working a few weeks back, I have a Short video of it starting on my channel.
The last time I worked on a MH 701 was in an industrial unit in Accrington Lancs. Do you remember when Cadbury Chocolates used to pack their presentation boxes with a bluish stringy paper to protect the chocolates well this is what they were trying to bale. It was almost impossible to see the intake elevator with all those chains and sprockets as the paper wrapped around anything that moved eventually throwing off the belt.

Another great video Dave
Nice little update Dave. I wonder what caused that element to destroy itself like that?
@@pauljones2633 on the top of most injectors, there’s a leak-off pipe and surplus diesel returns to the tank.if that element is seized and it doesn’t give way, the injector pump will continue building pressure. Winding the handle probably wouldn’t do it but, once we put the belt on, the pressure had to go somewhere!
Always happy to see an update, doesn’t really matter about what
Welcome back Dave.
Phew! I’m glad you are ok, was started to get worried!
Hi Dave I have missed seeing your video's, life can get in the way sometimes. I may be interested in the parts dexta to do something with it, maybe a conversion. Keep up the good work.
Good to see still knocking about on RUclips 😅
Nice to see you back its great your grandson taking an interest in your vintage tractors 👍
Glad your ok missed the videos is the lawn mower running yet ?
Where is Dave? is he OK??
@@stevengeater6198 Yes Steven, all okay thank you. I’ve been very busy with non-tractor projects but will be back in a week or two. I haven’t appeared or said anything on this video because I was simply linking up a lot of snippets. It’s the start of the new 4x4 area for our rally in September. We're also putting more roads in so, improving all the time. See you soon. Dave T

Good video looking forward to seeing the 35 running 👍
Looking forward to seeing the Ferguson running , I find these little Tractors easy on the eyes they were a bit special, Best Wishes.
So are we Brian, so are we! I’m a Ford man really but always liked the 35. However, this has been challenging and I’ll be glad to see it out of the shed😂😂
🙏🙏👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇪
Thanks Greg. You emojis tell me that you’re from Ireland, you like the blogs and you could be a priest? How near am I?
Always enjoy an update. I’ve just bought a 1968 Zetor 5545, all up together just needs the front prop sorting out
Nice to see the 35 coming together. 👍
If you like Ferguson, let me know when you cross through Germany next time.
I’m a Ford man really but with four Masseys and eleven Fergusons in the shed, I guess you could say they’re growing on me. Only been to Germany once very briefly but could well come for a better look when time allows……😂
@@DavidTaylor-vm9pf just let me know if you come through. My friend has a huge Ferguson collection. Best regards Tim

Your new project is coming on well it will be a nice tractor when its finished you and Ian are very skilled in sorting out all the problems 👍
👏👏👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏
Do you know where it is now?
Yes. It’s been up for sale but, as far as I know, it’s still there.
I saw it a few months ago in a garden, not sure if it’s Timmy’s though,it’s a really nice number plate to
Great work well done, I did see a 6 2 with a winch on, near Bilbury some years back in a timberyard. I was just strolling along the countryside and spotted a rare looking major in a yard, least rare for me. I turned and went back to the yard full of timber, and a few majors still in active duty, had a good look at them , was like a timewarp.Old saw mills etc. memory tells me you are spot on with axle placement, Their engine allowed axle attachment with wishbone in reverse as you are planning. I Seen your 135 zetor on facebook when the new owner took it home, spotted the zetor front axle immediately and knew it was fishy. Great imagination , you, sorry WE are all nuts, love it cheers,
6/4 looks great !! as for the 6/2 I think that will also look good. I'm with you on , it's your tractor, you do what you won't to do.
Thanks for the updates. I'm just doing a 1 sump 10" longer conversion challenge on a super sump here in Canada . Mines a bit harder than yours will be as it's going on a 2704ET engine to build a factory looking turbo tractor. I've already cut and blanked the old major oil pump location, the sumps in 2 halves and I'd like to get it in a milling machine somewhere to true the cut ends so i can weld in a nice parallel steel plate to fill the gap. I've been working on the modified oil pick up pipe design this afternoon. The worst part is the "special" rods here in Canada are about $400 so I'm mig welding it an inch at a time, talk about stress waiting for a loud crack after it's peened and cools ! You'll find there are quite a few bolt holes don't line up between 4 cyl and the 6 spacing on the block flange. I'm pretty sure that 6/2 picture was a cobble job somebody made, personally if it wasn't for building the nose and bonnet the right shape I'd love to do a county 2wd. The real sad part of being here in Canada is I've got about 6 sets of those hubs and wheel weights/ backing washers and stuff as most tractors here had pressed fronts and wheel weights, shipping now would just cost as much as you can buy them there. In the big days of shipping Pocock was buying from my local wrecking yards and clearing all that stuff and tin work out. we couldn't even buy it then, as he was in total control of the market with those guys. Looking forward to see a professional do his sump ,Take care both of you.
Axle position looks spot on on both. Your 6/4 looks slightly lower on the front than an original one which is no bad thing as I think they looked too nose high. You have still retained that Roadless stance & look though. Dad had a Roadless NP super major which had such a worn front axle he had to engage 4WD when on the road so the wind up would stop the front wheels from wobbling so much. I struggled to drive it due to that dam spacer box & my short 13 year old legs !
My answer B
B was the correct position but we had to go to C to clear the oil filter.👍👍
Mighty machine Ian and Dave the drive up the lane fairly cleared her chest she's running a lot cleaner now
Hi Dave lot of work went into that she’s smoking like good Cigar well done
👍👍👏👏🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏
Can I pick your brains 😁? Is a mk1 MF595 basically an updated MF188? And if it's a mk1 and 4wd, isn't that a retro fitted unit? I'm under the impression that the mk1 was a 2wd standard but you could buy and retro fit the 4wd kit and MF mechanics would fit it. Am I correct? By the way great video 😊
👏👏👍🙏🙏🙏🇮🇪🇮🇪
go on steve load the zasseytor
Hi Dave I think this is the same video as yesterday, I could be wrong. Loving the videos, keep up the great work.
If it’s got the sound of a tractor right at the start, it’s the repaired version. It’s the same video but there were issues with the volume levels, particularly towards the end. We made big progress with the Roadless yesterday and should drive it out of the shed today. I’ll put that update on at the weekend so look out for it!
My cousin had a 3545 1968 brilliant tractor, real good on steep ground, i remember limited steering radius...
There was nothing to match it back in the 60's and 70's because all 4wd were a lot bigger.
Bit of an oddball that one sheep in wolfs clothing with different wheels😢😢😂😂
Be very interesting when Steve finishes with it.
Nice job, should look good when painted 👍
She’s coming along now Dave fair play to you!
How rare is this type of major one hell of a tractor well done
Ah no bother to you. Looking bril. fair play to you guys.
🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏👍👍👏👏
Class video the international seems to have the original back tyres it maybe hasn't done much work they are apparently very good for match ploughing keep the vlogs coming 👍
That international looks tidy enough. I bought a 574, that was enough to put me off them for life 😂😂
I know who had that international 785 new but they sold it early 90s
You can see that the tractor has been looked after really because it’s not been knocked about but, unfortunately the rust has won the battle. A lot of the tin is available but it’s just a bit too expensive for me to make it worthwhile.
👌👌🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏👍👍
Great vid, it would be good to see them ALL driving at one time, I dunno how you find the time to work on them (as your place looks very tidy) I struggle to find time to work on mine. 👍🏽
Thanks for looking. Keeping the yard looking tidy is easy - don’t point the camera at the messy bits! I’m now on the last stage of a big job we're doing away from home and once that's finished, I'll be semi-retired and will spend more time on tractors. I’d say fully retired but I’ve already said that twice and got lured back - fingers crossed!
