Frey Ex Pro Commute Home Bus Driver Skips Red Light!

Thought i'd upload my commute home from a few weeks ago. Featuring the Frey Ex Pro and a dodgy bus driver
Brilliant effort, shame the walkers where like the walking dead and not concentrating when your pressing bell and there not moving much 😊
@@LakeDistrictcyclist thanks buddy I appreciate it! I plan to go back and retry it, lower tire pressure this time and different suspension settings because I had it all wrong on the way up. With the walkers, it's a common issue, I used to have an electric horn but I found it obnoxious and kinda aggressive but maybe that's what I need again 🤣
Great effort mate, you need to get yourself a garmin bike computer to replace your phone. I use one & they’re great
@@beardedvikingmtber cheers mate! Something I'll definitely have to look into.
How does the AM 1000v6 compare to the Ex Pro? Which one do you think is better?
@@lansr214 It's a hard choice that! I think I'd probably go for the am1000v6 though, as it's 1 battery is bigger than both of the batteries on the ex pro. The ex pro has 180mm travel where as my am1000v6 has 160mm but has a 29" wheels instead of 27.5 upfront. I've also found the sram nx11 gears alot easier to work with and keep working correctly than I did with the Shimano deore xt M8000. I think the AM1000v6 is 1kg lighter with the 30ah battery and about 2.5kg lighter with the 21ah battery. If there is anything you'd like to see about the am1000 let me know and I'll be happy to make a quick video for you.
@@theripperuk4592 Thank you. I thought the EX Pro would have a better range because of the dual battery. It’s hard to choose. The EX Pro is on sale in my region, making it cheaper than the AM1000 V6
@@lansr214 the starting price of the AM1000v6 is $500 less than the EX Pro edition on the Frey website. Going through their website, you can select your own desired colour out of their options, or can even pay an extra $100 for a custom colour bike.
How does the AM 1000v6 compare to the Ex Pro? Which one is better?
Conquering?! Your on a motorbike. You didn't conquer anything.
@@VOTE-jw6qy Would you like some chips with that salt?
It’s a good advert for that phone holder 😂🤙🏻
@@beardedvikingmtber Thanks to the fake quad lock🤣
COOL!
Thanks! The power of the M620 helped a lot and the amazing frame design of the AM1000 made it a super comfortable ride! More to come!
How would you rate the comfort of this pad ?
That mat is heavier than some of the said figures I've seen on various sites...🤦🏻♂️
@@mokotramp how much does it actually weigh?
Does this come as a 3in1. Where can i get it?
As far as I know you have to buy them separately.all from go outdoors.i got the sleep mat and used it for the first time at the weekend and first impressions are very good.comfy and warm and packs away small
I bought an OEX inflatable mat. It burst. Went back to Thermarest with their lifetime warranty. Get what you pay for i guess.
@@alexpervanoglu7420 did you figure out why it failed?
@@theripperuk4592 The outside seam burst. I'm only 11 stone and I don't like my mats fully inflated so I'm pretty sure it was a manufacturing fault. I don't live in the UK anymore so not much chance of returning it, and in any case it is out of warranty anyway. Not the end of the world.
Just went to GO outdoors, they had the R7 on display but none to buy,. When I asked the staff that were on shift, none of them knew anything about it. I insisted to buy the one they had on display, so got a discount. Happy days. I paid £55:00 for it today 21/08/24 , totally chuffed with the price.
@@drussthelegend269 crazy, the sleeping mat still isn't online but the pillow is now. Id be buzzing too mate that's boss.
Instore today for £64 members price
What sort of price are they going for?
@@cbeaghan3961 the pump is 20 the pillow is 15 and sleeping mat is 65
When it comes out of the box there's two nozzles nestled inside one another inside the one plugged into the rubber joint btw
I just didn't want to count the rubber part as a nozzle
1:52 😂
im after a gold chain for my e bike but cant find a gold e bike specific one what kind you use on your e bike?
Would you recommend one of these bikes over a normal eBike , how's the battery and motor long-term after using the bike a lot
Hi have you ever had any problems with the motor
This is well making me wana get one.. If you take the extra battery off do you loose power/top speed or is the extra battery just for range?
Nice mate, would love to ride along there. need to get myself up to liverpool!
How's the bike going now, almost a year on?
Alright mate sound voideo's just got myself one of the off ebay not cheep are they😭but its the best bike ive had so far taking in to consieration the rest have been kits and hard tails. Ive got it in sport mode and in the settings its got 31 mph but i can get much faster that 25mph is there a way to deristrict these motors as i know there are locked down is there a secret menu or is it the controller that needs chainged can help an old man out id really apricate it nice 1 ✌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻
Finally an ex pro clip that has a nice full dynamic mic great sound u can how the engine actually sounds
How’s the bike going
Another nackerd drive chain racing it with full power all the time.
Hello, wanted to switch out chainring on FREY EX PRO, just curious if you knew what kind of bolts hold chainring to stock spyder on the m620? Want to get those in a blue color so kind of need to know what to order. Maybe size (length, etc.). Thanks!!
And this guy is speaking English???
Why aren’t ye posting no more
Really need a dropper seat post is a game changer for off road. Cheers from California
Where's that ride ya doin la? Is it around Liverpool or Wales or something?
Great video! I want this bike badly! How is the suspension? Rough ride or smooth? Really curious
Hey mate, good video. I've just ordered this bike! Bloody excited! But, can i ask what size you have? I have ordered large, even though i am only 173cm. The size chart for the AM1000 shows height 160-170 size M 170-180 size L. I do like a larger bike feel and i don't want to risk it feeling cramped. I look forward hearing your thoughts on this. Cheers!
How is your bike?
@@fingergoat1810 Hi, it’s great! It has restricted my riding on some trials but enhanced it in most other places.
Hi, where do I order to UK?
Urban Moto Ltd. They have them right now.
Great video mate.... where did you buy the bike off the Internet ? Cheers
One hell of an accent!
Have you ridden a 1000w dd hub to compare ? I have a couple of DIY bikes with those on but seriously considering this ex but cheapest I've found it in UK is £5395 ouch.
It's a little loud?
Not as loud as it seems in the video
It's a good noise!
Brilliant bike mate I have brown version unbelievable great bike everyone comments. Had since last August waited 3 4 months for delivery from China direct from Ivy at Frey. Excellent video. Now looking at Frey Beast 60v or Monster. I bought this before Brexit and all import charges were put in place which is unfair .
Thanks mate appreciate it; yeha the beast looks, well like a beast! I got mine January thru a uk dealer and old had to wait 40 hours from paying to having it at my door was amazing
there import charges on these bikes? as im thinking of buying one
I honestly thought he was talking in Chinese for the first 5 seconds. Lovely bike
What batteries have you got matey ? Is one integrated and one on down tube? And what range does that give you roughly ? Cheers
X2 48v that came with it. Yeah you are correct there, and can do anything between 100 miles on low power no throttle just light peddling or 40 on throttle
Also worth changing the Bafang Ultra to the smooth Frey settings with a computer.
A dream bike! The customizations are beatiful! Is there a possible way to get that bike cheaper since it's a bit expensive for me. What speed and distanz do you reach with the second modus (400watt)?
Thanks! Unless you can find a second hand one then I’m not too sure. I’m not too sure on your last question there sorry. Thanks for view!
@@theripperuk4592 is it chipped
@@jamesc7008 this bike doesn’t need to be chipped, it wasn’t made to disappoint like then 250w ones 😂
@@theripperuk4592 how's bike holding up mate? have you burned through any cassettes / chains yet? tempted to get one but worried about the power shredding through parts like nothing lol
It might be the camera angle but the left handlebar seems a bit further forward than the right. Just an observation 👍
I think you are right, handlebar stem was a little loose
WHERE DO YOU GET THE FRAME MATE
It’s a Frey E bike mate, sold as a complete bike
Yes, great video, and you got to love Frey, they make great bikes.
What are your thoughts on the sound? Is it loud? how does it compare to the audio in the video?
Wouldn’t say it’s too loud, kinda don’t realise the sound after a while just don’t pay attention to it unless I hear an abnormal sound
It's not to loud the motor kicks out 1600w unlike a 10 to 15 grand levo with a 250w motor . It's like comparing a Ferrari to a fiesta for noise comparison.
Can the bike go uphill around 45 degrees?
Yeah, can go up some pretty insane hills if it’s there’s good traction
Looks fun. I'd like to see you slow down a bit on the blind corners & when you pass people you never know if that have young children or dogs with them. Take is safe Mate
Usually fine down there, corners aren’t as blind as they look on here, thanks for the view
@@theripperuk4592 Cheers Mate
I agree. Rider is a bit inconsiderate of pedestrians and sharing the trail. Ponce.
@@chaosiscandytome I assessed every situation with pedestrians in a safe manner for my speed, constantly looking to see what they are doing, ready to brake faster than you can say ‘ponce’ I wouldn’t go past someone at speeds if I knew they was complete oblivious that I was there. I make sure before I pass them that they know where I am going by eye contact and head gestures. Thanks for the view tho mate always appreciate it
what gold chain are you using?
Gold 11 speed extra light with hollow plates, not e bike specific so do need to swap over but so far this gold one doing okay on the roads
And what sort of speeds were you getting there?
A lot of it was sitting around 30 went 34 at one point, could have gone faster at points, there is things you can do like bigger chain ring, want to get a bigger chain ring in the future
@@theripperuk4592 is it comfortable at that speed though? I mean does it feel safe?
@@worzelb1709 yeah it feels safe, frame doesn’t rattle too much at high speeds, had a nice long wheel base so at high speeds it is more stable
@@theripperuk4592 sorry mate for keeping on but just one more question. Would u recommend the cut off sensors an the breaks and the gears?
@@worzelb1709 no worries happy to help and yeah I would, mine doesn’t have gear sensors but has brake sensors, wouldn’t mind gear sensors but I just cut the motor with the brake sensor when I change gear if under lots of power as the brake sensor is quite sensitive
