Why are you turning a great movie into BL. They were friends, nothing more. Nothing less.
I get were you're coming from and respect your opinion. Especially since even if they were meant to be in love, in 1989 (when the movie came out) you couldn't show that in media. Much less in 1959 when the movie takes place. But today it's 2025 and I, as a part of the lgbtq+ myself, like to look at it from a more progressive standpoint. I get your point, tho. Sometimes people tend to overs*xualize characters, but that's not at all my intention. I just want to view it from a different perspective

Ngl i dont wanna be rude or something but.. Sam chose an actual room for colby so he could be safe without Sam. But colby, He picked the basement for Sam not knowing that Sam wasn't actually safe..
I still like the fact Colby cared and worried even though it wasn't him that was in danger. He could've said "fuck it", put Sam in the basement and go to sleep. Sam's challenge for Colby was also pretty dangerous, but that was the point(?) I get what you're saying, tho (I'd be scared either way)
