I’m wondering the same thing. Got a vase of these on Vday and they bloomed and now I’m not sure if I should throw them away or not 😏

Did y'all figure that out? Lady at the store said they would keep blooming but do I cut the stem near the bulbs or up more?

@@missycalhoun6319 I discarded the bulbs, I tried to see if the bulbs would bloom but instead mold began to grow.

@@TheGetty014 oh ok..thanks for the reply. I have seen some dry them out and store in frig or freezer until next year. I may try that after doing some research lol...we will see. Wish they would bloom twice!

I saw in another video that after blooming you can easily remove the wax and plant it outdoor or in a pot and it will bloom again next season

You just need to replace the batteries! Perhaps every 3-5 years, you should get the bulb re-waxed, but it's often cheaper to buy a new one!

Waxed Amaryllis bulbs usually grow at least two stems over 4-5 weeks, producing multiple flowers per stem over the next 3-4 weeks. Blooms should be expected in 8 to 9 weeks after purchase. Some can take even a little longer, around 10 - 12 weeks. We always recommend trimming withered blooms to promote further growth and to keep the Amaryllis in a well-lit room but avoid direct sunlight. Giving the bulb plenty of natural light will stimulate growth. Rotate it every couple of days to help it grow straighter. While every effort has been made to describe these plants accurately, please note that the height, bloom time, bloom count and color may differ in various climates.
