Adding water to one-pipe steam boiler
Просмотров 15 тыс.2 года назад
This video shows how to add water to the boiler when Red low-water cutoff light is on. This video is intended to help my tenants of the house, but if it helps anyone else then that is a bonus. Note, per my service tech, the water line for this boiler is a bit higher than center of the glass, but in the video, I instruct a bit too high :). I appreciate the comments though.

Submarine EUC, wow!! 👍
@@Vince4343 😂 I probably wouldn’t push my luck and put 134 volts underwater again though! Thanks for the comment!
So how are the wheels holding up 2 months later?
@@RonnieRides V11 no issues. V14 started some bird chirp squeaks about two weeks later at high speeds that have went away now so I won’t replace the bearings unless it comes back. V12 squeaked within 2 miles and we replaced the bearings before our rides the next weekend. Thanks for the comment.
Yo hice algo parecido con mi V12 HT y se estropeó el motor, se llenó de óxido el motor por dentro...
Almost luckily, the bearings in the V12 squeaked immediately so we put them in the next day and drained and dried all the water out of the motor before re-sealing the covers. Thanks for the comment!
stock? No sealant added for the electronics? Damn impressive, not that I will be soaking the v14 in deep water but it gives me a lot more confidence riding this in the winter/light rain(yes I am aware of bearings and all and possible rust from the salt)
Correct. I did this within two weeks of it being brand new. No modifications. It is still running perfect. V12 squeaked a few miles afterward though and we replaced the bearings. V11 still perfect as well. Cheers! Thanks for the comment!
This is proof we can video anything and get thousands ov views
This was everybody dream as a kid
@@_AllThingsGaming No kidding! 40 years ago I couldn’t imagine that a unicycle could balance and then go 43 MPH only to be passed by a RC in a split second. Crazy times we live in. Gotta enjoy it though! Thanks for the comment.
Nice Bootyhole
Nice
@@Nathanisfire Thanks man!
cool view. very fast car!
@@ZackPowell-k1l yes it was much faster than I thought it would be. We were surprised by its acceleration too. Thanks for the comment. 👍
your welcome
goodbye big bearings
We have replaced the V12 bearings so far (squeaked immediately), but the other 2 wheels haven't needed it. It has been well over 500 miles since this. We'll see though! I won't be doing that again however. :)
@@CaptainSuperFantastic look for @Firemotor 's video #inmotionv14 Шум в подшипниках,Вскрыл мотор а там....
This music does not match the video 😂😂😂
I agree with you. If I could do it over, I would add much better music or none at all. But, I am new to posting videos. That was my first use of CapCut :)
🔥
@@Electric_Unicycle_Rider Thanks man!
👍
It seems silly but I love to do that. Both on the city as well as passing small creeks on the mountains. 😅
Thanks for the comment. Yes there aren’t many things more fun and relaxing as these EUCs. Have a nice day!
Best part is the family pic at the end. :)
I agree! So great spending this time with my boys. Thank you!
@@CaptainSuperFantasticthat’s so wholesome omg
@@LMV123 Thanks man!
SUPER COOL! And that's a nice looking Cub.
Thank you!
Awesome skills, that looks super fun! Do you think you could fly FPV and ride some how?
It seems like that would be more difficult than filming with my iPhone. I could try my DJI Mini 4 in follow me mode possibly!
@@CaptainSuperFantastic That's a good way to get started I think! Less worrying about flying and crashing.😅 Good luck!
i just learned how to ride an EUC so hopefully i'll be able to drive my 1/5 scale cars following it from behind. Seen guys ride sitting down and it looks so fun
Yes! We do that all the time. Riding behind your remote control cars is super fun!
Good combo
Thanks! Super fun seeing it up close.
Horizon hobby should contact this guy
Haha! I give them enough business! 😂
nice
Thanks!
This will go viral!
Haha! I might have to make a better one to go viral. I’ll just say, coming soon!
that's pretty cool, dude 👍
Thank you!
is that too much water filled? i think the water level is at the middle of the glass tube or a bit higher good enough? i have auto fill device with this boiler, so I do not worry about filling water manually? i did not manually fill it for couple years, but the water level is still at least at the middle of the glass tube, it means ok? and i never see the red light on.
Good 👍
How often should you have to do this?
It will likely depend on how often the boiler runs. Colder outside or higher thermostat temp makes it run more often. The more it runs the more steam/water you lose through your registers. In general I would think you should check monthly but you will get to know your boiler. Also, you shouldn’t add cold water to a hot boiler. Add the water when the boiler is cooled off or it could crack. Good luck.
That’s wired when you have a automatic water feeder it’s gonna feed cold water when the boiler is hot regardless What the point of a automatic water feed if it’s gonna crack my boiler?
thank you great help
This is the only video on the internet that was exactly what I needed.
THANK YOU
Thank you, got to add the water. But where is the re-set located I don't see it.
My reset button is the red button next to the green/red light I point to early in the video.
Hey Matt, do you still own these Rival quads? If so, are they still running good for you? I'm looking at buying one. Anything else you could comment on regarding these? Thanks.
Same
That is awesome!
You know your system better than I do but you over filled it. Next time less H2O to get more steam and less banging.
How fast they go mine runs up to 25
Ours say 33 mph on the digital readout.
