Coolest aircraft of all time
I just found one of your other posts coming into Norfolk, and now this one. Looked like a bumpy ride in, but glad you landed safely. Thanks again for the great views! Be well!
This was posted four years ago, but I just found it tonight. Thanks for the great video of arrival into Norfolk. It's always fun to see a plane go out over the bay, circle over the Bay Bridge-Tunnel, and then come in over Shore Drive. Thanks for the great views!
My dad flew in one radio operator Japan 1948 always had a model of one he would loved to see one restored
Pretty cool seeing the amphibious base (it's not called that now) where we spent a lot of time and played our little league baseball games so many years ago.
I thought that was pretty cool too - I was there at the Armed Forces School of Music between March and September 1985. Uniforms were wilted and soaked with sweat by 10 each morning. I think of it fondly now - 40 years on. At the time, though, every time a plane took off and flew overhead, I'd wish I was on it. That was a hard six months, especially being Army on a Naval facility. Glad now that I did it, but, would not do it again if I'd have known what the military was like!!! Torgerson Hall served the worst food I ever ate in the military, bar none. I believe I flew there and out on Ozark Airlines, if memory serves.
nice views of arrival into ORF ...
I See a grayish Plane i want to paint it black
So good to know she is being made airworthy again! Would love to hear those big radials!
I saw it maybe 20 years ago. A volunteer told me they managed to snag the very rare radar suite too.
I can see my school
I can see my apartment and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
Thanks for the post. I’m flying for the first time since I was next month. I’m so nervous.
Looking good I'll test it out for you free lol

My dad flew these in the Pacific in ww2. At end of war he and his group escorted the Japanese officials in their Betty bomber back to the signing of the end of war agreements. In Idaho we used them as borate bombers.
Your content is so touching
Can't wait to see her flying again! Love this aircraft.
I had the opportunity to view this aircraft yesterday. An awesome experience. Thank you to all who are dedicated in the preservation.
I took off from San Diego in February. 2018 to Minneapolis and the sudden weather change was just completely shocking🤪 we went from like 75° to 9° in 6 hours
Such an amazing machine!
Barely 3 years ago and already the MD-88 is like ancient history. Thanks for this trip down Memory Lane! ATL-ORF is all Airbus A321 nowadays. What was that shaking at 08:48?
Southwest Airline landed.
Awesome F-104. Looks like it's in great condition.
Thankyou . It's always a priviledge to be given access to these machines of yesteryear .
Can't wait to see it in full dress black. BOSS!
Nobody is more deserving of this ride!
I was operating this aircraft. Thanks for grabbing this shot!
Really excited to see Breeze at Norfolk! I hope that they’re able to do well and can’t wait to see some of the routes once the A220’s come online!
Шикарнач реставрация...аж завидно!!!!Молодцы!!
Looking in the comments for disaproval of fake shell. I found my family
It is nice to see this building having been rebuilt. I live about 10 miles from Goxhill and the building team who took this tower down ready to send it to the US has was made up of several of my friends. Having been an Air Cadet in the UK for May years I have seen many of the control towers and this is looking in excellent condition. Great work.
Great video! Fast powerful, great looking, huge engine, nice flying! This plane and video has it all!
I really did like the video, but where were you coming from?
What seat?
I am an American, and a WWII history buff and I've heard arguments about was the war won by the Americans or the Russians, and that argument falls flat on its face with me. It took the fillipino cook and jungle fighter, it took the cooks and laundry washers, and the ammo loaders from countries around the world. And when I see a Mosquito being flown by the Brits, the Aussies, the Canadians, the Kiwis it about brings tears to my eyes (in some videos, real tears) because yes the Americans with their B 17sm the Russian infantrymen did race into harms way, I have seen few things as beautiful and terrifying than a Mosquito on a mission, racing at tree to level and bombing the crap out of the Germans and the Japanese, hammering fighters with their 50s, wow. And this video shows American Ace Bud Anderson taking a ride in one of these wooden works of art is icing on the cake, bet he had a thrill, even with his flight history, darn I'd love a chance to fly in one.
Thanks for the acknowledgment! As a Brit we certainly had the edge when it came to aviation, I wonder how many Americans actually know that the P51 mustang was less than mediocre until we gave you the rights to build the Merlin engine which made it the plane it was?
This plane was used by Anti-Fascist forces omg ANTIFA had an Air Corp
Stewardesses talk so fast its like they're rambling over their words just to get what they have to say over with lol.
Nice...a killer mechine
Interesting. I had thought they all were painted black.
The sound of music. In the Navy Blue she looks like a monster F-8 Bearcat.
when I was growing up in North Vancouver BC Canada our neighbour Doug Wilkinson was an ex mossie pilot ( my dad was a Lancaster Navigator) Our neighbour received 2 DFC's and I believe the Victoria Cross for his flights in WW2 he shot down 4 ME109's in one mission over the English channel and sent another smoking back towards France. He shot down many German planes and was on many missions. Too bad all these great men have left us now, wish I had spend more time listening to there stories.
Well ! That wound the clock back ! I flew over from the uk in 1997 to visit 2 of my aunt's and reunite with my brother who flew in from Australia. Silky smooth landing and it still amazes me how these masterpieces of aviation stay in the air . It feels and looks like your flying at about 30 mph ! This is why the air speed Indictator is so important ! Thanks for sharing .
Hi. Unfortunately there was a problem and l was unable to watch this .. (playback ID. U20DU3Smg5s9Jzf3) Thought you should know .
Thank you! Take offs are one of my favorite parts of flying! Excellent video.
Turbulence is my favorite. Lol!!
Excellent film footage and sound.
