i watched mean girls last night and chappell has been very influenced by that film..in a good way...and by the way the guitaarist is gorgeous but i think she has left...i know she used to plaay with katy perry but she so suits this band as do the others
Why do I find this young woman so inspiring and her music so exhilarating? Oh yeah, she’s the complete opposite of the artist products we’ve been fed over the last 10-15 years! She has a genuine, consistent point-of-view that informs her music, her costumes, her makeup, the venues at which she elects to perform and the crowds that gather to experience her art. Chappell Roan is brave and she’s authentic! Bravo!

Sound quality is so poor. This seems way too performance driven vs artist driven. Less inclined to see the show after seeing this.
@@jimlundsten7180 sound quality varies based on venue and the recording quality. Do not base your opinion on this video, see her for yourself and form opinions. Mind you this was also before her big blow up, so the budget was way less. As she continues to boom I’m sure the overall quality is going to continue to improve.

what i like the most is that these songs are built so that fans can join in, i think popstars have forgotten how to make pop music fun and this is something that works tremendously nice for her. Oh hate it. Ok, well, let me explain. I LOVE that fans can sing along to songs. What I DON’T like is when artists stop singing and hold the mic out over the audience. #) it doesn’t work, but #2) I paid to hear the band sing, not the chick on the guy’s shoulders next me. Which is totally fine, I don’t mind that when the band sings and does what they’re paid to do along with it. I just think it’s weak to let the audience replace the vocals on the chorus. Meh.

@@TheBobbymcd totally man. And in some cases, there are bands who are now bringing random fans up on stage to either sing for them or play an instrument. Green Day does it nearly every show, Foo Fighters do it a lot, and I can name at least 5 other bands that do the same thing. I mean, I guess the bands can do what they want, but for me, all I’m thinking is that I paid GOOD MONEY (and now days, A LOT of money) to hear the band. I certainly didn’t pay to hear little 12 year old Johnny play a good-for-12 but shitty-overall version of a song I love. I dunno…maybe I’m just gettin old. NOW GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN!
