There are spots where fox is worse than his melee iteration. I.e. higher MU spread, previously unviable characters now have contention in this iteration. There are also spots where he is a good bit better than melee, instant RaR to name one. B-Air becomes even more oppressive and another 50/50 you gotta watch for

Part of why Project M is so great is cuz of the character bapance and variety. You get to see Mario's two heavyweight powerhouse scrimblo blimbo platformer rivals scrapping in close combat and comboing. Even casuals wish main series Smash had that kind of freedom.
