Thanks Mr Rowan for sharing those stories about Charles, he was a lovely human being and one of the nicest people I ever met. He sure could make that guitar ring and I miss his soft voice when he sang. Jimmie Rodgers using those chords to yodel with the Hawaiian influence is interesting I could listen to you tell stories and sing all day. I feel the bright white light of love coming through.. I don't know what I would do without people like you in the world.

This was wonderful to watch and hear !!! I will bet you have a good luthier ! I am doing that now . I was a teen ager in the early 70’s who very rarely wore shoes either ! When Old And In The Way came out I absolutely loved all of it but my favorite songs were yours for beauty depth and eloquence!

The harmonics on that nearly 90 year old Martin D-18 are excellent, Pete, and my wife Suzanne just recently got a D-18 that was made in 2015 and it's a fine instrument that we've definitely been enjoying. I usually play a rosewood Martin dreadnought for the higher lead parts rather than a mahogany dreadnought, which she prefers for the deeper rhythm tones, though a real nice D-18 is as good as any guitar out there and I've been enjoying playing it about as much as the HD-28 and those other ones too.

Oh gosh, Peter - we just listened to your Walls of Time album 2 days ago to hear your stunning arrangement of Casey's Last Ride, (right after listening to K. Kristofferson's original - may he RIP.) A treat to hear Thirsty in the Rain, and Walls O.T., etc. Never heard Electric Blanket before - love it! would have been a great song to sing our kids to sleep, but they were already older when Dust Bowl Children was released. It's the sole album our P. Rowan collection is missing...will acquire it soon. Hope to see u in the northeast again in '25 - stay well.

Oh Peter..Life, the song. I'm so Lonesome ...we met at Fur Peace Ranch.. you were there that weekend with that other rambler Guy Clark. I had brought my Earth Opera vinyl. I remember handing it to you for a chop, you picked it up and said "Oh my, ??'s collage!" I don't remember the name? You went off by yourself with it for quite a while. Lot of time has passed, I lost my beautiful girl singer to Alzhiemers. I saw you perform again at FPR. Hurl of course facilitated us getting to chat again. Love that guy. I recently had a brain injury. I can't play right now, but I'm hoping. Thanks so much for sharing this, and being so gracious and kind. Everything feels like therapy, this feels like a gift today.
