Aku, our temperamental tiki mask, has been upgraded so that he sends commands to the overall lighting/control application. So now, when you pick up his idol, he sets off the lights. In addition, his new light has UV capability, so I included some blacklight content on the wall. Room for improvement for this gag later.

I wanted to add an interactive effect to the Canteen, so here's the first one. It uses an IR sensor, a Raspberry Pi, a 3D printed mask I created, and a small HDMI monitor I had lying around. A cool example of how to add some interactivity to a small space.

Howdy, The Canteen was dismantled in March 2022 because of a move to Florida. I'm doing my best to get a new bar built with a similar theme, but it's taking a bit of time. Will post updates once it actually starts to see some progress.

HEY Jordan, looking for materials to make something like this for my Star wars / Tiki bar mashup. .. curious on the container! Did it have a metal top/bottom that you could drill through / unscrew to get the air on from the bottom, yet still be able to fill from the top ??? Trying to figure out what I can find to do this effect .
