I love how the boys enjoy their food. They seem very grateful for the wonderful cooking.

It is called the winter blues. It affects many people. You are in need of sunshine. All you want is to be healthy (in every way) and to be happy. Eating well is happiness creating and health promoting. You are really good at cooking. So, that is one aim already achieved. You need to get into hiking/pétanque (it has done me the world of good)/cycling/why not give tennis a try etc etc. You will learn new skills and meet new people with developing new hobbies. Attend presentations/lectures via zoom. Develop more hobbies, which are very satisfying and creative. Volunteer in a charity shop. You can do it! You are already great at many things you do. I wish you well! Happy New Year! 🎉

I love tarte au myrtilles. Good choice! To my surprise I found here (= UK) a large pot of confiture de myrtilles from the Provence. De-li-ci-ous. I ordered a slice of a tarte au myrtilles once, after a long hike up a mountain, in the Swiss Alpes. Arrived at a hotel on top of that mountain, sat myself at a table on the hotel's terrace (a well deserved rest), and ordered coffee and tarte au myrtilles. Wild tiny blueberries. I'll never forget it. Yummy! One 'obviously' needs this tarte after the long up-mountain hike. 😊 I am ready for Christmas. I always cook fillet steak of venison with a mushrooms and cream sauce, potatoes roasted in goose fat, Flemish spiced red cabbage, Brussels sprouts with chestnuts, roast carrots, parsnips roasted in maple syrup, celeriac (etc). Very traditional. I prefer stuffed goose when there are more people around the table. Yesterday, we played our last match of pétanque of the season. It is getting too cold and too wet for pétanque. We finished the season with mulled wine (vin chaud épicé). We shall commence playing pétanque again, weather permitting, next March. Hopefully the sun will come out there soon. I clean my micro cut shredder very carefully. The rotating blades are very sharp. I have a small bush that I use. Don't have a small trap door on my washing machine. At least i have never seen one. Vacuum easy to clean. Your meal there looked very healthy. Time for some fromage and bred here.
