    Much more dependable than solar. Think about that a minute. Half the day is dark night, and the other half isn't guaranteed to have strong sunshine. In a emergency setting, it's probable to be cloudy, rainy, snowy, windy, overcast, etc

    if you can't lash it onto a mountain bicycle and walk beside it, scatter-bury it at your BOL, which MUST be in the woods around your local water source. The roads will be full of ambushes and stalled, shot-up vehicles. You can't risk being on them. All it takes to stop vehicles is 1" thick wood and 3" long nails. You wont be going far or fast on 4 flat tires and they can follow you easily. You cant see this sort of 'caltrop" from nearly far enough away to do you any good at all. Especially if they bust up the road surface and set the top of the wood slightly below the road surface. You'd have to be within 50m to see that. 60 mph is 90 fps, feet per second. and you need 125 ft to stop that car, going that fast and that does NOT include your reaction-time or recognition interval. Those two are at least .20 second each, and you're traveling another 35 ft in that time-interval. So you're not going to see the tire-flatteners in time to avoid them even if they are NOT using a corner, hills, etc, to hide their ambush. They can put a man in a spiderhole, 100m before and after the caltrops. They can empty 30 rd magazines into your care before you can get out of range of their rifles. You can't be out and about in daylight if shtf, nor show a light at night, nor make noise, nor have a fire in daytime. They can dig those spiderholes in 2-4 hours, depending upon how hard the ground is and what tools they have to do it with. and then hide the dirt in another 2 hours. Nobody's going anywhere by road or 4 wheeled vehicle once shtf, especially not in daylight. Night vision is not good enough to let you safely drive more than about 40mph, at best.

    LOL, you make no sense. I'll make this short, because I stopped watching at 3:24. Handwashing: your hands are repopulated with bacteria within a few minutes of washing. Brushing teeth: You need to read Weston Price's book "Nutrition And Physical Degeneration". Specifically on the populations that didn't have modern dental care. Bathing: Check out James Hamblin, MD's book "Clean" which talks about not bathing for years. Not meant to be personal, but REALLY?

    In long term emergencies, soda cans are a resource of decent size aluminum shingles. Spending $ to trash your resource to save space is counter to my intuition.

    I agree, the Red Feather canned butter is great! The first case I bought (back in 2013) kept very well in a cool, dry basement for 9 years. By the 10th year of storage, it had begun to fade somewhat in color and smelled a tiny bit "off" but was still edible. I purchased another case last year and plan to use those cans up within 9 years. Bega canned cheese is yummy too!

    No flameless ration heater included in that mre? Is that something new they're doing?

    • @dakotapreparedness5689
      @dakotapreparedness5689 4 месяца назад

      Thanks for the feedback. I showed a flameless ration heater coming out of the MRE and sit it aside. I wanted to demo the primus stove and isopro fuel. The flameless ration heater do work I've used them a few times. When I served with the Navy Seabees we had c rations. If we were in field for just a day (rifle range) we ate them cold. If in field overnight a cook would heat c ration cans in a large pot of boiling water. Flameless ration heater would certainly beat eating them cold. If I do another MRE demo I'll make sure to use flameless ration heater.

    I know this is a 72 hour kit...but what i think when i think about a bug-out bag is not a bag necessarily. I personally feel theres a chance id be able to bug out using my vehicle(hopefully). If that's the case, id do like u. Have a bag, some totes, water jugs. Etc.
