Бах был представителем поздней эпохи барокко. Поэтому его музыка должна исполняться на инструментах той эпохи, в которой он жил. А рояль это уже поздняя эпоха классицизма, последовавшая после барокко. Так что считаю, что как бы ни виртуозно была исполнена его музыка на инструментах эпохи Баха является полным искажением его музыки. Только исполнение на инструментах той эпохи, в котором была создана эта музыка, даёт представление о том времени.

J'ai écouté cette grande artiste jouer du Rameau, j'ai beaucoup apprécié 🤗. La même personne jouant du Liszt, hé bien ça ne me convient pas du tout. Ça ne vient pas de l'interprète, ça vient des compositeurs germaniques depuis le 17 ème siècle, j'ai l'impression qu'ils ont composé leurs œuvres juste pour pousser leur public au suicide. Je ne plaisante pas, la lourdeur germanique est propice aux idées noires !

She's playing for non smokers.

Such incredible architecture and incredible shapes within the ornaments that relate back to that architecture. Ornaments perfectly apart yet united with the flowing horizontality of the big stream. And the vertical as monumentally constructed and proportioned as in Bach’s s Chaconne. Makes a great case for the formal greatness and tender cosmic depth of this music - belonging alongside Bach’s. Revolutionary! Thank you, Tamar.

Bien sûr, il y a les interprétations de Marcelle Meyer et de Sokolov qui viennent à l’esprit et sont sans doute, chacune à leur façon, des références. Il n’empêche que cette interprétation, (comme celle de la chaconne de Bach que j’avais découverte sur France Musique il y a quelques années) sans prétendre les égaler force l’admiration.
