It's all about skating!
Got back into skating in 2021 after a 10 year hiatus from a knee injury. My skating is somewhat limited from some old injuries, but these old injuries allow me to push myself in a different way now.
The goal of my channel is to make inline skating related content. This content includes videos of unboxing products I’m interested in, giving initial impressions, giving honest unbiased reviews of products that I review after breaking in and skating for a while and pay for with my own money, capture my new progress skating, challenges, and checking out new skate parks, all while enjoying what I love - rollerblading!

S2:E47: Faction Tactical V1 Skate Review
Have you guys ever stopped to consider that maybe you shouldn’t be trying to fit your foot into the smallest size possible and instead opt for a size that’s going to give your foot a little room to breathe? “Downsizing” is not healthy for your feet and it doesn’t improve the responsiveness of your skate THAT much
So I normally don't try to downsize and tend to want to ride a skate stock and size it stock based on my foot length. Per Standard sizing, my foot really falls between shell sizes (slightly too big for medium and too small for large). I reached out to law to talk to him about it because I had concerns that the large would be too big since my foot was at the very bottom of the size chart. He indicated that the medium would be the best size for me and should work if I use the additional shock absorber. In turn, the shell felt decent length and width wise which was consistent with what Law told me, it was just the pressure points around the ankle and some pressure at the top of the toe box, which was a common issue with the V1. It was a lot of effort to try and make them work. My goal is to try out the Large V2 at winterclash before trying them again to see how the large actually fit. I appreciate the insight and agree that we should not be cramming into smaller shell sizes to make somethin work.
i couldnt run 60mm on the middle wheels cause even with the flat bolts the wheels craps. had to use 58mm
yo for skate liner smell, wash with room temp water and antibacterial soap, let them air dry then put "Odor control foot powder" in side (you can get it from walgreens. it will keep down on smell and feet sweat)
I’m having the same issue with my ankle :\
I love your very in depth detailed review of these skates, especially relating to how these fit. You just got yourself a new subscriber - keep up the good work!
Really appreciate the kind words!
So I'm fairly certain I know why your wheels were rubbing on the frame bolts. It might seem unintuitive but it is most likely because you are using the frame bolts that came with the frame. I had a similar issue and when I looked at the frame bolts you can see there is a small bevel/ridge at the base of the threading on the bolts. This makes it so the bolt does not actually fully recess into the frame as it should. I have no idea why they include bolts that don't actually work with the frames but you'll notice if you try and place the bolt into the frame while it is not attached to your skate the bolt will wiggle around a bit rather than sitting flatly in the frame. You want to find a flanged button head socket cap bolt which will work with this Oysi frame as well others. Hope this helps and here's an Amazon link to the bolt kit I used for these frames www.amazon.com/dp/B07RGC14RZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I went for the 10-25mm kit(generally a good kit to have).
that was a long ass ao soul! props brother
Thanks!
Where is that coping ledge? Which Skatepark is this?
it's at the Turnberry park in Commerce City, CO
Have you ridden the TNECs? Wonder how these two compare once broken in
I rode the TNEC's frame and skate for a little bit. I had the standalone frame that was rockered and it was fine for ledges but hated skating park with it. I thought the hblock was similar with locking in but needed way more breaking in. FR felt better out of the box. The frame on the skate felt better but the skate hurt my knees due to lack of good shock absorbers
this frame is for people who enjoy anti rocker.period.i have a pair. they grind really well but i prefer flat so im prolly gonna sell em
Agreed. Excellent frame
@@Jordan.Skates forsure brother! tbh i would call it the best anti rocker frame, hands down.
but if were talking best flat frame id have to say featherlite 4s which surprises sum people but then they skate it and singing a different tune. the fr oysi frames is a gem to
@@Jordan.Skates have you tried the AG60? that frame looks tight. same with the diridaris. i had a pair of the 50/50 balance twos they slide super good but not a big enough split for skatin 60mm. so i figure the 50.50 primes would be perfect. hahahaha mane i could talk frames all day lmfao
Very informative thank you, any grinds you didn't like or feel comfortable doing on those frames?
Once the hblocks broke in everything felt solid. I didn’t feel that the hblock was tall or that it was hard to get boot down
@Jordan.Skates thanks for the feedback
Best flat frame ever!!! You killed it in em. Definitely run round or bullet 60s... squares, some fit,.some might not. The grinding sound and feel on these 🤘
Thanks! They really are great frames
What a lovely backdrop. The leaves are beautiful.
I’m surprised my trees still look like this! I was also impressed when editing
As always, excellent review! I’m very keen to try these out. Currently using iqon AG60 with 88a wheels as the local skatepark is very slippery but I’m experiencing some wheel bite on ledges. I’m hoping the FR frames will offer better wheel bite protection.
Try 58mm and under I got wheel bite with 60 58 works fine
The FR have more bite protection but you can got with a little smaller wheels which can help reduce any bite
Good luck finding them sold out all over the world
I’ve heard they are getting restocked soon.
@@Jordan.Skates yayyyyy
What size frame are they? 257 or 269mm? Thanks
These were the 269. The frame is the same length just the outside bolts are moved inwards on the 257 model, which i have also skated
@ Which size did you prefer? The 257mm or 269mm? Thanks 🙏🏻
Parabéns pelo vídeo!
Thanks for the review. Do you know the weight of the AG15’s with the frames and wheels? I have the Blanks but find them so heavy.
I don’t know exact weight comparison but will also depend on your frame wheel set up. They are lighter than Blanks and a little heavier than a typical nonskinned plastic shell.
Thanks! I ordered a size 43 (I’m a 275 mondo) with medium 257mm GC Flt4 frames and Undercover Apex 60mm wheels. I got back into skating last year after a 20 year hiatus! Does this sound like a good set up for running flat?
@@lockdownlife9517 sounds like a killer set up. hope you enjoy!
@@Jordan.Skates thank you 🙏🏻
I was thinking of getting a create original for my blanks. Do you recommend?
You can get them but would need to break in the backslide plates since CO has deep hblock and has lower ride height on blanks
@Jordan.Skates Thank you brother 👊🏽 The magenta FR frame you put on the blank was too 🔥 I slept on that one 😞
@@URBANAssault98 thanks! I’ve seen some small fr oysi floating around ar retailers and heard there would be mass restock in january
I gotta rewatch this I wasn't paying attention 😅
all good!
Thanks for the review!
Glad it was helpful!
They smell bad, they really really smell bad! I have AG20s, the most comfortable skates I ever skated, but they STINK!
sure do!
👻
watching this video , seem like if i was to buy a pair of these i would have the same problem than with the FR 1 , i have a 273mm feet but very wide , ended up with a pair of fr sl freeride and now i barely ever roll in my FR1 , Carbon skate for some type of feet is the way to go since it easier to find the perfect fit
for sure. crazy how much different these felt from fr1
In my opinion this is like so call carbon skates update it’s just mind blowing to spend 650 for a skate like that and to deal with problems I knew they was not perfect skate
id say the problems were fixable with heat molding which is nice if you need that option
Try to look for skateshop that sells boot only. I bought it boot only brand new in my local skateshop. Same price as Factions. Super comfortable and responsive skates in my opinion.
When I see stuff like this I weep that senate wheels are gone. My Kevin g's lasted a couple of years. Graphics still looked crispy too. And with so fewer people skating now their customer service and quality control should be top notch.
i would agree. there are better wheel companies out there these days
Great review , super nice skatepark and awesome skating ! I have no experience with MyFit liners but I'd just like to share that I put my Intuition liners (all of them) in the washing machine all the time. About 40 degrees Celcius and they always come out with the shape of my ankles and foot preserved, looking shiny and smelling fresh :)
very nice! will keep that in mind
Apprecite the detailed review! I just got mine today with the OYSI classic frames, but for some reason the mounting screw hole in the back of one left boot isn't gripping and I cannot get the frame to attached to the boot (the screw just spins), did you have any issues? One boot & frame is fine and one isn't, so I tried changing the bolts from the boot that "worked" to the other but no luck, thinking might need a slightly longer screw and call it a day? :(
Oysi frames should come with multiple length bolts. I didnt have an issue mounting oysi on these with standard provided hardware. You will need longer bolts for the back due to raised heel and deeper soul plate at back to make soul plate flat
@@Jordan.Skates Yea, it did come with extra hardware but seems they are shorter than then provided FR screws, I found out that the longer FR screws are 18.5mm, so might buy a 20mm screw, weird thing is that one boot is fine, and the screw that works fine on a boot, still doesn't work on the other boot, making me thinking maybe the actual thread base is recessed a tad lower? Anyways thanks for the reply!
i like when u say ASSthetic
ha!
im still waiting for a large pair to pop up in white or black but i might just have to pay the shipping n get em from loco
heard they will be restocking soon
those magenta joints actually dont llok bad on those skates. i could never pull it off but do ya thang player
its a really fun and not in your face color in person
Love your shirt. One of my favorite bands since I fell in love with blading back in 94
thsnks!
the liner are really easy to get stinky!
they sure are!
good stuff
thanks!
My bad, I commented after the wheel split. Thought that was the end of your upload. Thanks for your review
haha this was a long one
i skated my medium oysis last night and i noticed how train tracky they are i wasnt used to it cuz i came from skating the featherlite4s with 4x60mm those frames are amazing i fkn love the flt4s
that feeling generally goes away once you get familiar with them
Same as the Seba/FR classic shell. It finally fitted me properly when as a UK 8 foot size, I put an intuition liner in the UK 6.5 shell and it fits like a dream (with a little room). Their skates with puffy liners never allow you to experience proper fit.
ya seems like they need to revisit their liner vs shell size and go for performance fit
How do you like those wheels?
The Apex is a really good wheel for the pricepoint. Nice and grippy, not too hard. Feel like I would destroy the cores in Anti rocker set up.
My go to anti frame for many of the reasons you mentioned. Just wish they came in more colors
more colors would be awesome!
Appreciate the review. I was considering these, but I have narrow flat feet. Sticking with my FR Deluxes for now.
wise choice
U did gd old-timer...Peace!
thanks!
Looks like great boots.......dont buy from Thuro.... they took my money (WITH A TIP), couldn't ship a Omni medium, ignore my calls and emails and refuse to refund so I can buy elsewhere
What length laces do you have in?
70” to 84” fit the blanks well
Thanks for the review! Can I ask you what size (EU) you wear in FR1 with the Intuition liner? I have the same Mondo size as you and I wear 42-43 EU in my FR1 Deluxe Intuition v2
i wear the 42-43 with stock intuition in the Fr1 deluxe and UFR
Still liking the AG 15?
yep! im going to being a review soon. coming to the Mile High Battle?
@@Jordan.Skates when and where?
@@BunionBlader-pd7yy this Saturday and spots will be posted Friday. www.milehighbattle.com
Thanks for this. I'm currently in the market for new frames and considering the Fluid 4 or 50/50 Prime
both are really nice. i liked the groove on the prime but landing on aluminum frames is too harsh on my knee
thanks so much for this review. really helped me make a decision
glad it was helpful!
I can't wait for the comparison video with the Iqon AG60...
I’ll make a comparison in my final review
I bought the grey aftermarket version and it came with the standard long axels. Curious.
long axles are the way to go
Very late
