    Would you say that the Edgi Kit for the Ssg10 is worth the money?

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 3 года назад

      Yep I certainly have no regrets getting it. It’s been going strong with only light cleaning and lubrication for 4 years already. The best thing about it is how light and smooth it makes the bolt pull. I was deciding between this and an hpa kit originally but glad I went this route as it’s much less faff! Worth it for sure if you know you’ll be hanging on to it for a long time

    Do you happen to know if the Zero Trigger/H.P. Zero Piston from Laylax is any Better than a Maple Leaf Zero Trigger kit?? They Both 90°, Both are made of metal ( Aluminum-Laylax/Steel-Maple Leaf) , But there is a signifikant price point fluktuation Between them??..

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 3 года назад

      I’ve not had any experience with the Maple Leaf trigger unfortunately, it might be worth looking at some reviews or checking out opinions on somewhere like the airsoftsniperforum. The best rated triggers I’ve encountered are the Laylax and the Springer Custom Works triggers. I picked my Laylax up second hand as I already had the EdGI piston and didn’t need the set. Might be a good option if you want to save some $$$ (Action Army also make a copy of the Zero Trigger but I’ve heard some mixed reviews, worth checking out though)

    what would you say your max effective range would be? because i have a similar build but want to change my inner barrel for a 6.04

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 4 года назад

      I’m limited to 2.32 joules at my local site but I’d say the maximum effective range where I can hit a man sized target consistently (8 out of 10 times) is about 75-80 meters. Beyond that the over-hop needed makes it hard to shoot accurately, although shots may sail on to about 90 meters before running out of steam completely. I’m currently using a Maple Leaf mr. Hop and Geoff’s .45 and .48 bb’s

    • @teamkillairsoft8576

      The Angry Gun High Speed buffer I have is 61g, the stock TM buffer is 24g from what I’ve noticed in using it so far there’s very little loss in gas efficiency although in very cold weather it might be best to go back to stock

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 4 года назад

      Edward Donald I started out with the Mobius as it was small, easy to take apart and customise so I could convert to IR for indoor games and switch lenses etc. I strongly considered the run cam recently as a new zoom cam but the Maxi has the most of the same features now like high frame rates and wifi and I’m really used to working with the Mobius so I stuck with it. I wouldn’t say you could go wrong with either but the run cam is probably more intuitive to use

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 5 лет назад

      The Mobius is from www.minidvcameras.co.uk as they have a massive stock of accessories and spare parts. The lens is from amazon www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DFCXM5J/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item other 12mm lenses fit but you need to make sure it has an IR cut filter to look correct in daylight. The mount is custom made from an old PEQ box and is the only bit that’ll take a bit of figuring out!

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 5 лет назад

      Sebastian Levy you’ll be replacing the stock lens with your zoom lens anyway but, just incase you repurpose it as a head cam: lens C is the widest angle (the one I use for my head cam) lens B is wide but not as wide as C and the A lens is the standard, non-wide angle

    • @teamkillairsoft8576

      I would start by (if you’ve already watched a few videos) by joining or browsing one of the popular airsoft communities like Arnies Airsoft, Airsoft Forum or your local sites Facebook community before you go. Almost all sites provide rental equipment if booked in advance so head along to a game and get chatting to people. Airsofters are very chatty and helpful in my experience. Listen to the rules, ask questions and take your hits and you’ll have a great time!

      Rasoanaivo Francky Everything is stock internally apart from an Angry Gun lightweight buffer (using green has the stock plastic buffer will eventually disintegrate). For gas I’ve found Guarder black gas is great below 15 degrees. ASG ultrair, Abbey vertex or pretty much anything else I’ve tried so far works great above that!

      Oh cool Im not super late I dont know how possible this is with sniper rifles but I simply twisted my barrel inside of the hop unit, the bucking should stay even with the hop window in the barrel but the slightest twist might be enough to compensate for the defect in the bucking itself by causing the hop arm to press at an angle. Dont know if Sniper hop units are different than aeg Hop units though

    Hi mate, I know this is a bit of an old video, but has the angry gun recoil kit affected reliability/caused excess wear at all? Thanks in advance.

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 5 лет назад

      Matthew Gosling The only thing I noticed was the end cap on the buffer tube loosening up after extended use, all I had to do was apply some blue locktite and screw it back down and I’ve had no issues since. The lightweight buffer is very nicely fitted and finished, makes the recoil slightly more apparent but still keeps the amazing snappiness of the mws. Highly recommended!

    Lol honestly I love this video because it perfectly encapsulates what gameplay feels like using a mid-level Gun in a forested environment its hard to see enemies and if you get in a gunfight you get glimpes of the enemy before being forced back into cover and theres so many other guns that shoot you from like what feels like a mile Away XD

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 6 лет назад

      C4milz It’s been great so far. It’s so satisfying to play with and feels very balanced and mechanically sound. It’s also surprisingly accurate and reliable which I know is something you expect from TM but not necessarily from a GBBR. In cold weather (sub 10 degrees) you have to baby the mags a bit to keep them from getting too cold but a strong gas like guarder black or abbey vertex helps a lot

    Hey fella, I have some questions: Been playing aegs/gbbr's for 8 years and I'm moving into the sniping world for the first time. - I'm curious to know how many barrels you've tested. Particularly the EdGI and PDI barrels? - any difference in performance between 6.01 and 6.05 from the same brand? - Which barrel/bucking/nub combination would you wholeheartedly recommend? [For action army vsr chamber] I'm not concerned about price. Thank you in advance for any help :]

      Geoff Saunderson I’ve tried a few now but the best groupings and hop effect have been with the ‘Decepticon’ (formerly Delta) buckings where the contact patch ends in a point. I’m using a 50 degree bucking with a maple leaf omega nub and it can overhop 0.45’s at my site limit 2.32 Joules. In my latest video there’s some range testing at 75 meters if you want to checkout that setup ruclips.net/video/fcoQ2mWqeCA/видео.html

      It's just a small part, Worthing has a pretty huge woodland site with varied terrain as well as this new compound

    Hi, I just discovered your channel and this video was amazing. I also noticed that you have used 2 builds: a full Airsoftpro (with an AA barrel group) and this one. I'm planning to upgrade my TM VSR as well and I was planning to do a PDI build but I came across Airsoftpro Parts which are much cheaper. So my question is, did you notice a big difference between your 2 builds like noise, bolt pull, range, accuracy? And would you say that more expensive parts are also more worth? Many thanks in advance!

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 7 лет назад

      Hi! Thanks for the kind words. Firstly the AirsoftPro build: Bolt pull and return is good but highly dependant on if you have the height of the spring guide stopper set right. If not the spring guide stopper can force the spring guide against the top of the cylinder giving you a very scratchy bolt pull. I fixed this by shimming the spring guide stopper so it didn’t sit so far in. The AA barrel I received was either a lemon or a bad match for the AA hop chamber and maple leaf bucking, I wasn’t able to get anything like consistent accuracy with it. I feel however I got unlucky as many people report this being a good mix. The trigger pull on my V3 trigger was very heavy and required polishing and filing the sear faces to get an acceptable trigger pull. These issues caused me to change to EdGI parts and a Laylax trigger. Accuracy wise this was a huge leap mainly I think due to the bucking/barrel/hop unit match. The cylinder and piston I consider a luxury but they do provide the smoothest and lightest bolt pull I’ve experienced. If you’re pulling a heavy spring I’d consider getting these parts but if not I’d be tempted to go with an AirsoftPro trigger, cylinder and piston and spend the rest of the cash on an EdGI or other high end barrel and AA hop unit. The AirsoftPro combination was quieter but the full EdGI set is very accurate and very easy to pull. Hope this helps!

    What kind of range are you getting out of the maple leaf bucking?

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 7 лет назад

      I'm limited to 2.32 Joules at my local site but with .43's I'd say maximum range is about 80 - 85 meters. You could lob or over-hop slightly beyond this but it makes shooting at closer distances far more impractical!

    Great vid. do you still use the stock hop chamber with the maple leaf nub? ive got an edgi barrel and want to use the maple leaf hop rubbers but its bridged and i thought you have to have a action army hop chamber to? cheers.

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 7 лет назад

      I do have the AA chamber but yes you can use the maple leaf rubbers with the stock chamber. They're not compatible with bridged barrels sadly as the contact patch runs all the way to the end of the barrel and isn't just a traditional bump that fits through the window. You can however file off the bridge as I did when I got annoyed trying for months to get a reliable r-hop setup. It requires a bit of patience and cheek clenching as you work on your beautiful, unblemished EdGI barrel and will make it more difficult to r-hop (or some say impossible) if you choose to go that route in the future. However results for me at least have been excellent and I'm very happy I went down this path

    nice video, i really wanted to know if the concave nub is worth it? does it increase range or accuracy im not sure what it does thought about picking it up. also ive been having an issue with my vsr 10, for some reason it slightly curves to the left after 230 feet even with no wind, is that due to my bucking? anyway's great video :)

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 7 лет назад

      The concave nub is almost essential when paired with the Maple Leaf Bucking but a friend has also achieved good results using it with a flat hop (a bucking without a hop mound) it's certainly the most accurate combination I've found yet though range is mostly determined by BB weight and FPS this combination gives you far more consistency than the stock TM bucking or a Nine Ball etc. Your left curve could be caused by a few things, the barrel or hop rubber being twisted in the hop chamber (take the barrel/bucking/hop apart and put it back together as carefully as you can) your hop arm flexing or moving side to side when firing (if you're using the stock TM hop unit you can replace it with the excellent Action Army unit or you can shim either side of the stock Hop arm so it doesn't flex) or your scope is canted on the rifle and not in line with the hop. I hope you're able to fix your issue, airsoftsniperforum is a great place to ask if you're still struggling!

    Cool video mate I play up at worthing as well only just come back though I'm looking at getting into sniping any tips? I'm looking at getting the sg24. Are they both mobius cams your using too?

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 7 лет назад

      lukemarten The SSG24 looks sweet, I was tempted myself but ha already committed to a VSR. I'm fairly new to sniping myself but one thing I would recommend is good, heavy bb's; Geoff's .40's have been great for me so far and to clean your barrel regularly 👍

      Team Kill Airsoft I know your using mobius cams what lens in the one that you have on your sniper I'm guessing the one you use on yourself is a wide angle lens but not sure if it's the same on the gun? Poss zoom lens and how do you get the crosshairs when you change to gun cam?

    • @teamkillairsoft8576
      @teamkillairsoft8576 7 лет назад

      That's right, on the head cam I'm using the wide angle type 'C' lens that comes with the Mobius. With the zoom cam I'm using this lens: m.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-3-50mm-6-7-Degree-M12-CCTV-MTV-Board-IR-Lens-for-Security-CCTV-Video-Cameras-/282467152884?hash=item41c45ab3f4%3Ag%3AJzgAAOSwAuZX3prP&_trkparms=pageci%253A55943560-67e4-11e7-a245-74dbd180d1fd%257Cparentrq%253A3cadb91115d0aa4754ea50e9ffe7327e%257Ciid%253A1 I layer over the crosshairs as a PNG file when I'm editing
