500 not a chance 100 bucks done. Easy
You should get them rods in a sealed container so they aren’t collecting moisture
I just go "I'm a welder" and employers go "You're hired"
These welders are life savers
What’s that tool called that you used in the beginning?
Watched a few of your videos, your trailer setup reminds me of my first one,now in back of truck like i think u went to flatbed later, im a few hunderd miles south but do similar repairs ,sawmill and farm repairs. You take pride in your work as we should. Do you have your business all on Instagram or social media and are you licensed like llc if so id love to know all the BS involved or maybe a estimate of what it costs you a month or year to keep on the up and up. Ive never done it right and invested lots ,just as a side business and I know if i did it correctly or "legitimate " id get tax breaks, advertising , discounts ,depreciation etc. Im a welder/ fabricator- repair guy not a accountant. Do you do this yourself or have someone do it for you? I know its a shitty question when the focus on welding/ repairs which if we dont know we should know it makes the world go round.
Your advice videos are the best!
Fantastic video. Answered questions I didn’t know I had!
Yes sirr , I’ll be waiting by the shop doors for these jobs to come in or a brake job easy money
I just had a similar job. Only they were hanging one of them leaf vacs on the door which caused the top hinge to need heated up and hammered on.
Landscapers......😂
Thank you!
199 more to get that 100K!
how long have you been welding for yourself ? i have worked for people for years and thus spring im reqdy to brake out part time till i can afford to do it fulltime any advice????
Good job young man. America needs skilled people like you to hold us together! May God bless you with many more jobs.
Great video thank God for landscapers keep the videos coming
Cheers to that🎉
A porta-Punch machine for coping pipe is a serious time saver if youre fabbing a lot of railing or anything with a lot of pipe...✌️
Awesome no bullshit advice. Nice job brother! 👌
What you charge for aluminum boat repair s
Honest question. Im a welder only ever worked under someone else. Do u every get slightly worried it might break and that trailer kills someone? Wouldn't that now be completely your falut
Hey them fish plates should kind of come to a taper!! Not a sharp taper but to a rounded taper. Them straight edges just cause a fracture point. Not to mention you should have ran the upper and lower fish plate longer since you did use straight edges that way not all of the stress is in the same area. But you are trying!!
It's good to see people who are STILL willing to work. I'm 47 been a welder fabricator for over 25 yrs now. Just went out on my own 2 1/2 yrs ago been moon lighting for years tho. I watch all these vids of you guys telling us HOW I GET WORK and I gotta say is IF you are out there going door to door ASKING for work you guys are doing something wrong!! I advertise On craigslist and that is it!!! When people have me do work for them then they tell their friends and so on and so forth!! I don't have to ask for work. I do mobile welding got a 08 f550 with a crane. I live in south western MN and work in SD NE MN and IA. My minimum is 125 and hr make more doing stainless, rush jobs, bids, or even the good ol f you price!! (jobs I REALLY don't want or don't NEED) I make skidsteer attachments modify 3pt attachments to fit on skidsteers I work and grain elevators and feed mills (on call for 1 I do alot of work for) But good luck..
Where do you go for your metal? I used to do north 2nd st discount steel now coramar metals but they are not like they used to be.
I usually weld the underside of it too
Thank yoy
let me get a link to them sticks my man
Thank you for inspiring me
Great project, nice work!
Really appreciate that you show the things that dont go as planned like it is in the real world, nice job!
I'm a hobby welder. Started with a Vulcan 220 from Harbor freight. Still have it and it has been great. I have since purchased some higher dollar stuff because i started making AR500 targets on the side. I got a great deal on a Miller 352 with a S74 wire feeder which i run dual shield on. Also had a Miller 255 and was doing some pulse. I also purchased an older Miller 250 dialarc AC/DC stick welder. I believe for average stuff those HF welders are great.
I haven't watched enough of your videos to see what all you've got [yet].....but Dude: Air Arc would make your life sooooo much easier.
Stick and flux wire if your serious about structural welding Btw very nice torch skills
How did you run the welder out in the field? did they have a generator/power source for you to plug in or is that something you bring with you. im looking to get into this industry as a bit of a side hustle so want to make sure my van is kitted out. Welds looked good and will easily hold nice work dude.
He might have a generator welder. Harbor freight has one a Vulcan one and they have some predator generators you should be able to to plug a welder into if you don’t want to go the miller or Lincoln route
What a pain! Take the good with the bad I suppose.
Nice job. Easy money
Don’t see the undercut all I see is where the paint rolled out from what it looks like to me. Which hell I’ve been wrong before
Good video but the 4 1/2 grinder with the On/Off switch you used to cut the angle iron is deadly! Sooner or later it WILL kick out of your hands! In my case it hit where my femoral arterie is - fortunately I was used one with a trigger switch. That trigger switch very possibly saved my life!
Jeez crazy. Thank God you are good
Paid for the job not by the hour on that one that all. Saved the day
So fire
that's a good customer you got there with material and labor plus gas gotta be cover $500 is awesome
What's the oldest welder you've met or seen? I'm 44 but I've been a diesel mechanic since dinosaurs roamed the earth and am so burnt out on it, and welding looks like the way to go
I worked with some that were over 70
Good job,but that'll be the only thing left on the tow hitch. They need new chassis rails.
I want to see the rest of that trailer frame.
So much value in this video man! i’ve seen just about every one of your welding videos haha
Another good video, keep the content coming man!
Just cause you call yourself a welder doesn’t mean you can.
I know every wise guy on the planet talks shit about stick welding but it is what i prefer. Have only had access to buzzbox welders for most projects and i am just used to them now. Sure it isnt fancy but you can still lay some nice welds down. I have a mig now too but i still prefer my buzzbox.
Just welded cast aluminum today for the first time with stick. I used uniweld 4000 rods. Turned out better than I expected. Good thing about aluminum is the ease of grinding when the sparking is done. I named them rodeo rods, cause they were 1/8th and I ran them at my shop on my Lincoln Idealarc 250 at about 95 amps and when you see the spark just try to keep up and hold on for 8 seconds...lol. You seem to do pretty good with them.
in the cut?
Nope
I have one of them lifts. Looks like they were too lazy to disconnect the truck before putting the out riggers down.
