Engaging in reflective practice empowers early year educators by giving them ownership of their learning and development processes. This made me have a proactive approach to personal and professional learning. I learnt about infectious disease alot during Covid reading what I would otherwise not read, listening to health experts and reflecting on new recommended practices in nurseries at the time.

In my EYFS course I studied Gibbs' Reflective Cycle where as a practitioner we ask what happened, how we feeling about it, what was good and bad about it, hat sense can we make of the situation and what else could we have done. These questions can help us develop an Action Plan for reflection.

Short now this week we are doing childrens mental health week learning about feelings and we are doing valentines day. We are also doing shove Tuesday pancake day too as short term planning at my nursery this week.
