@@glowingcat5562the chains are a failsafe in the event the trailer gets unhitched, so it’s meant to tow and be able to turn

I spin around in gravel a lot to it don’t really matter. Still going to tear the tires up and it’s spread axle doesn’t make it any better.

I've been in the tire business for 24 years. I know what you mean. I have friends that got away from spread axles just because of that. I had a friend put a dump valve on the rear axle also and it helped with keeping tires on his trailer longer.

No. They was regrooved tires. I knew they didn’t stand a chance on gravel but they came on the trailer

I see tmc all the time dropping off where I pick up at. Not sure which 1 is better but just go with 1 and get your experience then go with whatever company is paying the most and best for the area you live in. That way you can get home time. A lot of companies don’t have loads in some areas and you hear about drivers not getting the home time they looking for. Just get started and see where it leads you. I would wait until the market gets better unless you have a plan to put the truck on with some company or have somebody you no u can get loads from. Rates are going down.

@mrjuneteenth704 I would consider letting someone lease on. Depending on the driver and type of equipment. Never really thought about it. Yes I use the load board but I also have some direct stuff that I do. Usually do my regular loads out and board to get me back.

If you can’t hire that because of insurance, I completely understand. I know the insurance is higher. But I do like the area you run because of where I live. Maybe one day soon, I can tap in with my own truck. I would love to find someone already plugged in with Flatbed freight.

The truck hit the wall and caught fire. They was clearing it up by the time I could record and the truck was getting towed the opposite way.
