      I had always flown regularly certificated aircraft instead of special certificated also. This aircraft is reliable. I haven't flown much this year, but that's been due to my medical availability and not the aircraft. Maintenance and inspections are pretty easy and can be done by the builder. Cost is very reasonable.

    • @FlyNavy
      @FlyNavy 18 дней назад

      And you set up the maintenance cycle based on kit manufacturer recommendations. That is approved by the FAA as party of the special airworthiness certification process.

    How long does it take to learn to fly something like this with a good degree of confidence

    • @FlyNavy
      @FlyNavy Месяц назад

      @javadaghrab5687 The factory requires at least 10 hours of instruction or they charge a surcharge. Everyone usually recommends completing a safe for solo flight sign off at a minimum. That time can vary. I'm not sure of the particulars for a new pilot outside that. I had about 2k military helo hours when I started flying this.

    • @FlyNavy
      @FlyNavy Месяц назад

      Flight hours count in any certificated aircraft, including experimental. Turbine time counts in this. But I'm not sure how an employer would look at this for a job. I already had 2k turbine time in the military, so this is just add on time for me.

    Is your pilot license just a regular pilot license?

    • @FlyNavy
      @FlyNavy Месяц назад

      I have a helicopter certificate. But from what I understand, since this is a single seat experimental, only a fixed wing certificate is required. But the factory requires at least safe for solo helo training or you pay extra.

    Can you tell me how much area of square or rectangle is required to safely land a Mosquito 2 seater helicopter because i want to buy and then i will keep it on terrace or roof of my house, is it safe or risky, if yes then where should i make the helipad instead of my terrace

    • @FlyNavy
      @FlyNavy 5 месяцев назад

      There is no 2 seat Mosquito. To land mine safely, I need about 40 foot of clearance. Rotors are 22 ft and you need some extra room. Landing on your roof or terrace would be a question for your neighbors, HOA restrictions, or any local laws. But in any case, you would need to be able to cover it. It is not an all-weather aircraft.
