Hello! Great video! ♥ The cheap ones from china are "ok". Over time (2-3 years now) I experienced some bad capacitors, which I switched to new/better ones. All good. But be aware on such things like at 5:40 -ish. I had one and it works excatly 12 months - then BAMM! A capacitor blows up and because of the type of construction (it is all molded in a huge big black resin block) it was like an immense explosion in the middle of the night. So, if anyone would ask me in person, I always would recommend the cheap china "switch mode power supplies" because of anti big bang (laugh) and easy diy repair. The cheap "powerbars" cannot be repaired. Just my experience!

Hi. Great video! Can you tell me where you ordered that part with the rolling plastic mechanism from? I need to replace that and it looks identical to the one in your video. When I call the company who manufactures these canopies/awnings they said that I would need to drop a grand on an entire arm, to which I answered I am not an idiot. Thanks.

Good job it helps me much! But I have the right power supply but not all lights go on. I do have about 50 feet of distance from power supply to lights. Do we lose power over that distance?

A have 24v 900 led strip but it doesn't say the amps. How do I know how many amps I need. The Amazon website says 10amps but I'm worried that's too much.

Use clear proflex rv sealant behind the arm, bigger screws, then caulk around both sides of arm. You would be surprised how much that adds to strength

Please don't use contact cement, LEDs don't last forever, you may want to remove them and keep your TV. Also be careful recommending RF controllers. I've had LEDs and other equipment controlled by RF that would receive RF signals from other nearby devices (apartment buildings, neighbors etc.) and randomly change settings... Not fun.

I didn't know you could apply it on the inside of the cabinet glass door, that's good to know. My RV cabinet door has white etched glass that is scratched in several places on the inside. Should I scratch it off or just go over it?

What if the fan is not coming off possibly from rust and etc?

I use 3 pin strips and if the data pad is ripped off i can't jump to the next cuttable spot.

I have a commercial project that requires 48 12ft vertical runs (basically 576 ft) of RGB. How would you go about powering it? Multiple power supplies? or one large? and what's the best configuration as to not trip the breakers. I'd suppose we will need 60amp at the panel or larger. Should I use 12v or 24v?

I didn't read every comment but a couple questions.... In your example you said you need 500 watts.... Would you personally use a 500 watt power supply or can you or would you use 2 - 250 watt power supplies one at each end?.... I thought in another video you mentioned putting a power supply at each end so the farthest leds didn't go dim. But maybe that was only if you had a weaker than needed power supply?....
