This Chinese plan for retrofurbishing the Airbus jumbo A380 jet plane appears foolish to me as it's based upon a competitor's proprietary plane and not on a Comac's or another Chinese constructor's plane. Besides, if this plan succeeds, it's Airbus that will reap the benefit, not China.

Okay okay maybe I was thinking that if Airbus is truly thinking about making this plane and it looks like that could be a possibility. I definitely wouldn't rule it out of possibility. I know many people I thinking oh this isn't possible its a lot of BS and so on and so forth but hey if Airbus's CEO is sayin' it's possible it could come into fruition then maybe it very well might. China plans to develop and populate her western regions within the next five years (official plan already announced). To expedite travel convenience both for people and goods, large capacity air transport like the A380 is ideal and perhaps the only way for China. Relying on ground transports alone to cover such large distances is just too slow. Moreover, a relatively safer and quicker strategy for the Belt and Road Program could be better served through air transports, given the politics and demographics of the covered regions. My view.

The financial problems has a lot to do with European war status scenario, many countries and Governments involved there filling the barrel with money toward the Regional Russian Federation/Ukraine exclusive war paths, rather than protect their own industrial and technological manufacturing plants recovering from post Pandemic crisis. Airbus does not have banned, assembly critical issues or aircraft grounded just as it is currently at Boeing, so ther`s no reason to give up. By reducing labor force at plants, does not mean on time and quality manufacturing delivering products. Meanwhile, Chinese Comac and UAC from the russians are working in progress and steadily, so be ware, because some day...... The world demands more than a two major aircraft companies in orther to obtain a superb overall quality and service on board which traveler public demands.

Make requests for more B 787 and A 350 and wait, which one would be ready for deliverings, with no issues and any air worthiness demands at all. Given the today`s Seattle boys amount of troubles, the winner will be A 350 Jet liner.

Technical problems are not problems to the Chinese, the only problem in transforming Airbus A380 is the Whitemen's racist prejudice and stupidity. The Europeans needs to learn what they have done in their Galileo project, so they are not going to screw up this Airbus A380 repurpose project and end up killing Airbus like Galileo.

Well, impressive hype, but I saw C919, Airbus and BOING 🤣, planes a plenty but nary an image of the C939. I don't doubt China's ability to produce anything, they have proven their capabilities thanks to the USA and the commitments to sanctioning competitive nations. The US aircraft industry as a civilian market is screwed, thanks to the merger of McDonnell Dougless (Cheap Ass Aircraft) with Boeing (Quality Beyond Contemplation) people now ardently check their itinerary to see if they are flying on a P.O.S. Boeing that may have tools or metal filings inside its wings or fuel tanks at a minimum. Airbus are struggling to keep up with orders now and may fall by the wayside, but COMAC are just starting. with only a handful of C919s delivered, civil aircraft are not as quickly built as military fighters. You cannot get away with Boeing's Jump Fit technique in the modern aviation industry. Safety is the primary concern and if they are going to play hard ball with COMAC, then so it should be with the Boeing scrap pile as well. At present my faith is in Airbus Aircraft and man, it hurts cause I just don't trust those Frogs! Still the planes are well proven and reliable, but then, does that not also come down to the airline maintenance quality control.?

It will be remarkable for Boeing if they can take back this stunning single isle aircfraft, although all major issues they`re facing in the last 4 years. The task, so pretty expensive, regarding time, training, retooling a former assembly line, but if its a need, so let`s get started. Good luck and keep on the company alive, to save a big and innovative one, behind of it`s glorious name.

C929 is still in development stages. C939 doesn't even exist on scratch

I predict China will have overcapacity of civilian planes by end of decade.

Is this a future report? With only half a dozen C919 delivery, it seems too soon to leap from C929 to C939 although it must be COMAC to be a credible commercial aircraft’s makers in the long term. It is expected certification of China commercial planes airworthiness will be unduly withheld by FAA and EASA.

They cannot achieve this without Western technology..

Western manufacturers, are now warned. The Chinese industry and it`s Government is strongly commited in order to launch and put in the global aviation market the models they are producing right now, taking advantage from Boeing`s own issues scenario, bad reputation, bad quality control, bad construction policies behavior, and in the other hand, Airbus could face an over construction demand, making delays in on time supplies to the clients waiting their equipment. The Oriental Giant gets what it takes to make it, and don`t forget that they`re developing an own high performance in house produced engine, almost ready to get thrown out very soon.

Comac just started work on the 939 ....but this video described it like it was ready. It's a hyped up video.
