Two B-17G Flying Fortress Walkarounds from Two Museums
love this kit , I know it is innacurate , I have built 2 !
wow! You’ve built two of them? It’s unfortunate that this is the only kit available for this aircraft and that its shape isn’t accurate, but it’s an essential part of stealth aircraft history.
Royal Australian.Navy operated the Firefly off the carrier HMAS Sydney in the Korean War as a ground attack aircraft. Les Griffiths
I see, I didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing this information with me. Having seen this aircraft in person, I really fell in love with it, so I’m thinking of buying a model kit and building it.
Finally an AI video that doesn't look like a horrendous abomination
Thank you very much. I still have a lot to learn, so I will keep striving to create even better videos.
comment was lost.........................................imagine seeing a Firefly in US ! they had these when my Dad was in the Fleet Air Arm . lovely plane ( B-17 build and story on my channel .)
Thank you so much for always watching my videos, my friend. RUclips comments tend to act up from time to time, don’t they? I wonder how many aircraft your father encountered! This particular one seems to be in excellent condition and is probably airworthy. I just watched two of your videos featuring the damaged B-17 you created. They're absolutely amazing! I'm planning to return to Japan next year, so I'll finally be able to start working on model kits again.
@@struggledrivedaddy started off with Gloucester Gladiator , blackburn Roc , fairey fulmar , faurey Swordfish , grumman Martlet (Wildcat ) Corsair , Supermarine Walrus , Catalina , Lockheed Hudson , Avro Anson up to Sea Furies ! thats just the Navy . he was a Chief Petty Officer on HMS Ark Royal .
@@fredtedstedman What an amazing collection of aircraft! Your father is truly incredible! My father was a banker, so I never got to hear any interesting stories like that. The Ark Royal holds a special place in my heart because it was the first 1/700 scale aircraft carrier model I ever built.
emp man.
Thank you for watching this one too.
the best film in my opinion, nice figure.
Thank you so much!
How would you paint it?
Thank you for watching my video. I have just retired and am about to start a new chapter in my life focused on model building. For painting, I will use lacquer-based paints with an airbrush. I plan to use enamel paints for weathering and picking up details.
Cant wait to see if it becomes a reality.
Yeah! Mach 10! By the way, Thank you for watching

Okay as much as i hate AI this looks cool while walking
Thank you so mauch!
beautiful , glad they have put it inside ! who will be first to make a kit ??
Thank you for always watching my videos, my friend. A 1/72 kit will be released in Japan next year. The manufacturer's name is Bellfine. It will probably be available around May 2025. www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235140024-172-lockheed-dark-star-top-gun-maverick-by-bellfine/
@@struggledrivedaddy shape looks good , more easy to see in white !
YES! I'll be in Japan that time. So, I will make unbox review
Had one of these as a kid
I love this movie, but I can't correct them all. Too many toys were released at once.
Great video, I have the 1/48 scale ICM model on the shortlist to build. I am not a pilot, but I’m sure I read, with this “push, pull” engine set up, if an engine fails it’s easier to deal with, rather than the conventional engine on each wing set up. These videos are very useful, thanks for sharing. Cool music by the way.
Thank you for watching this video as well! Despite its surprising popularity, there aren’t many 1/72 scale kits of this aircraft. I believe the ICM 1/48 kit you mentioned is the best option, so I’m sure you’ll have an enjoyable time building it. I hope this video can also serve as a helpful reference for your model building!
Great video, I have just finished making the 1/72 scale KP model of the hot looking Mig 19. When making the model, I couldn’t believe how many air scoops were on the fuselage, but as your video shows, it is correct. Loving you work, subbed👍
Thank you for watching the video, subscribing to the channel, and leaving a comment. Compared to the MiG-15 and MiG-17, I really like the aggressive design of the rear section of the MiG-19. I ended up purchasing four different variants of the KP model kit. I’m glad to hear that this video could be of some help with your model building!
I will definitely use your channel for future reference. I watched the video you posted regarding the Prowler, which I plan to buy and build. My next actual build is the Soviet Yak 27R by Amodel, another wicked looking 1950s reconnaissance aircraft. The Soviet Jet fighters and Bombers from the 1950s and 60s were very aggressive looking. Thank you once again for your interesting content.
Thank you for your kind comment. There are still many Soviet-era fighter planes and prototypes that haven’t been made into kits yet. I hope to purchase and introduce new kits as they are released by various manufacturers in the future. Enjoy building the Prowler and Yak-27R!
This mobile suit looks great .

Cool, what prompted words did you input?
Thank you for watching the video. The only prompt I entered was 'Walking slowly to the left.
Museum of Flight at Boeing Field has a D21, or they did at one time. About 2 hrs from me.
That museum is the only place where the Lockheed M-21 and D-21B Drone are displayed together-I'm so jealous. By the way, thank you for watching the video!
@struggledrivedaddy they are still there together?. That's great. Pops was a Private Pilot in yhe Pac Northwest for 50 years. Spent alot of time at Airshows across the Us, and the Reno Races. Was fortunate enough to see SR flybys, and then in later years, the Nighhawk flybys. Would have loved to have a class picture of all the Stealth we have made, in one formation flight photo. A-12 leading the formation followed by a SR, then the mothership with drone attached, B2 Stealth bringing up the rear, with the formation flanked by 2 Nighhawks. Guess you could photochop.
I'm sorry I didn't notice your reply earlier. Your father sounds like an amazing person! Seeing flybys of the SR and F-117 must have been incredibly rare, even at airshows. I'm truly envious! Stealth aircraft from different eras flying in formation-that would be such a dream-like scene. It seems like something that could only be created in a game or with Photoshop. Perhaps as AI continues to advance, it might become easier to create such images effortlessly in the future.
such a rarity ! I find it very sinister=looking !
Thank you for always watching my videos, my friend. That's true-while we live in an era where drones are everywhere, this particular drone seems to have a villainous vibe to it.
22 mins of just parts? Come on guy.
sorry

just amazing to be that close , thanks for sharing as always .Would be nice to see it painted in satin finish to protect it a bit , sun is playing havoc on that matt black !!
Thank you for always watching my videos, my friend. I also visited another museum that has an SR-71, but unfortunately, there were barriers, so I couldn’t get close enough to take photos of the landing gear and other details. By the way, the SR-71 at that museum was displayed indoors, so it was in excellent condition. I have several plastic models of this aircraft, and I hope to complete all of them someday.

can't be many ( any) of these around ! good capture. Always have to smile at American loose definition of a "Fighter" ( F-111 , F-117 etc etc .)
Thank you for always watching my videos, my friend. I’ll be uploading a video of the SR-71 next, so please check it out if you’re interested.
I alway smile at foreigners talking about aviation as if they were somehow involved in it. There's a lot more aspects to air-to-air combat than dogfighting furballs. If the YF-12 had become operational it would be nearly invulnerable in air-to-air combat, and had already shot down aircraft flying at 2000 feet from 85,000 and 100+ miles range. There's nothing, even now, that would be remotely possible of doing that, or in fact, there is nothing even now that would realistically threaten it.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on aviation and air-to-air combat. It's fascinating to consider the capabilities of the YF-12 and how advanced its technology was for its time. The idea of an aircraft being able to engage targets at such altitudes and ranges is truly remarkable. While modern aviation has brought its own innovations, the YF-12's legacy continues to inspire discussions about what could have been if it had been operational. Your insights remind us of the depth and complexity of aerial combat beyond just dogfights. I appreciate your thoughtful commentary and hope to learn more from such knowledgeable perspectives in the future.
@@brettbuck7362 I stand by what I said especially "F"111 and "F" 117 both bombers not designed to function as fighters . ( nothing wrong with bombers !)
Thank you for your response and for clarifying your perspective. You’re absolutely right that the F-111 and F-117 were not designed to function as fighters in the traditional sense, and acknowledging their roles as bombers highlights their unique contributions to aviation history. Bombers play an essential role in modern military strategy, and their capabilities often shape the outcomes of conflicts in ways that go beyond air-to-air combat. It's always enlightening to see these discussions and to learn from various perspectives about the diverse roles aircraft play. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I look forward to continuing these fascinating exchanges about aviation history and technology.

@@struggledrivedaddy Your very welcome. Thank you for sharing this. I am 47 yo., and was raised by my grandparents. My grandfather was born in 1919, and flew carrier based operations for the US Navy in WW2. I heard many stories about the Corsair, the Hellcat, and the Wildcat. I'm pretty sure he flew the Bearcat as well (as he was a test pilot for McDonald Douglus after the war, and probably flew many types of aircraft) but obviously not during war time. His Name was Robert J. Thompson Commander USN.....and he is my hero.
Thank you for your reply and for sharing the memories of your grandfather. It’s amazing to hear that he was a test pilot for McDonnell Douglas, which speaks to his high level of skill. I think it’s wonderful that your hero is your own grandfather. I became a fan of the Bearcat at this event, and as for the Corsair, I really love its beautiful gull-wing design. I’m turning 60 next year and planning to retire, so I look forward to spending my days building model kits and relaxing with my cat.
@@struggledrivedaddy Thank you for the typo correction...yes McDonnell Douglas. Yes, he must have been very talented, indeed. When I was very young, he had a Cessna Skymaster, and when I was around 7 or 8, he had a 210.....and I actually got to 'hold the controls' and fly for a min or 2. What an experience for a young man.....He is the reason for my love of aviation.

just beautiful , what a gorgeous plane ! The pilots said " you don't so much sit in it , you wear it !" she is in beautiful condition . The Bearcat and the Sea Fury were the ultimate prop driven fighters reaching close to 500mph .
Thank you, my friend, for always watching my videos. It’s hard to believe that this beautiful aircraft was restored from parts of a wrecked plane and other components-its level of completion is astounding. This small aircraft is one you don't just sit in; "you wear it" truly fits as a description. I'd love to see a Sea Fury as well, though it may be a dream that’s hard to realize.
