Mr. Jacobs touched my life in the late 70's. Out of fear of disappointing him, my destiny changed to a positive path. He was the first and only teacher in those days that cared enough to give me one on one attention. I have a successful life now as a professional in the arts. (Architect) I can still hear the resounding "TIMPANI!" Thanks Jake for your influence.

Thought I'd share this link to what I consider the most emotional, spiritual performance I ever had the honor and privilege of being part of. This is the Minor High School Purple Band from my senior year 1984. We performed this at State Contest that year. When I listen today I still can't hold back the tears.
