I planned to do the ABR Festival this year, 2024, with some friends, but my back tyre was done, so I got a set of chunkys fitted. I've been riding some small trails on the road tyres as long as it's dry. It's been OK, but in the wet a real struggle. It's the Bridgestone trail, and the recommended tyre is, of course, the Bridgestone AX41. So that's what I ordered. It's noisy on the road, but handling is quite surprising, good. normal road speeds and corners i had no concerns. With the bike fully loaded, all feels fine off road. We left the owls nest cafe and headed back into the lanes and onto some trails. We didn't have far to go till the first little track. It was an easy little ride, and suddenly, the bike tried to swap ends. I was at 90 degrees to the track, not sure how or why. Sorted that out and chased after the other waiting at the next gate. A few more lanes and another easy trail.

The Bwlch Mountain Road. Or Bwlch y clawdd road, meaning gap in the hedge. I've been told that before the mining, the mountain top was covered in trees, a proper forest, so where the road is. Today we'll it was going to be another road ride. But a friend dropped out ( still hung over ) of todays ride as he has a BMW RT, not good off-road. So we changed the ride to lanes and trails nothing extreme. Have a bit of fun.

So I had a small annoying vibration in the front wheel, so I had to take the wheel off. I thought might as well video how I take the front wheel off. And put it back on. not a big or difficult job and don't need many tools. So this video is to point you in the right direction.

Bad vibe in the front wheel, not so bad really, but I could feel something, and it was annoying. So wheel off and set about checking it out. And to be honest, the amount of weight I added was small, and as I've not been out on the bike yet, I can't say if it feels any different or better. As I said in the video, the bike went in for a service. All done, the technician, as they called them came out with the bike and said you have a slight wobble in the back wheel. A ride over the Gospel Pass on the R1250GSA. A nice 20-mile ride with no difficult road conditions Only the narrow lanes but most places, bikes, and cars can pass without a problem . Amazing scenery on the ride and from the top you can see for miles. Today was not one of those days it was a bit hazy.
