Here are a few of the upgrades for my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. I had a couple drinks while I was doing some Sunday projects so I wasn't the most articulate. sorry about that.

I apologize for the delay. I experimented with some editing for this video. I'm in the beginning stages of figuring out my style. Shout out to my sis, Mak, for a pretty solid video! Hey y'all. Carl Here. this is my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD in the CCSB configuration with LS trim and the world famous 6.0 Vortec. It has 143,000 all original miles on the entire truck. I'm starting a vlog about this truck as I plan to keep it for a long time to come and I see these trucks as future classics. Nice truck. I just sold my 06 1500 5.3 extended cab It only had 139K on it. I loved the truck, just needed something beefier, so I bought an 02 2500HD 6.0 quad cab with 90K. I couldn't be happier. I'd never even consider a new truck at the prices they're going for.
What did you pay for it? I’m looking at a similar one
i have an 05 cateye 2500hd basicaly stock beside dual exuast flowmaster on it, any tips of where i should start?
I'd start with safety, mechanical operability, and rust mitigation. I'd service the difs, transfer case, transmission, check the wheelbearings and suspension. Another thing you might want to do is if you're experiencing any oil leeks is change out the oil pressure sensor and oil cooler lines. These trucks are VERY reliable but they need maintenance like anything else. I'll put out another update and talk about my thoughts on this engine and transmission combination soon. I hope this helps.

Is this trucks suspension stock?
Right now from what I know, it's just cranked. I'm doing a Kryptonite Stage 3 kit and a BD Diesel Steering kit next week!
Kriptonite uppers and bilstein 5100s on my 1500hd 10/10 would recommend

Very nice pickup!! Love my 06 1500 HD 2wd I’m the original owner payed 24,900 new still runs strong with the 6.0 124k miles on it. No rust its an AZ truck only accident my dad backed into passenger door 15 years ago put a new skin on it and looks like never happened

Just bought a 2006 Lt today for another work truck. New transmission, torque converter and transfer case. Kinda hi miles but with many new parts. Hope it lasts. Other truck is a 4.8 single cab. Been a great truck.

Out or curiosity what does your mpg look like with the 87 octane tune? I have a 6.0 as well and have a intake like you and 4.10 gears was curious what you were seeing
I'm getting 10-11 in town average small town stoplights and stop signs with short trips. I'm getting 12-14 on the highway. But... I just got a new set of Method wheels, which are about half of the weight of my previous wheels. I'll see if there are any improvements over the next couple of months. A new video with the Methods is coming soon.
That sounds painful I have a lowered 5.3 with the usual cold air, exhaust and nearly stock tires and I get almost 20 MPG

nice truck, I have a 2001 1500HD, basically the same truck 6.0 with a 4L80E, mine has cold air, flowmaster exhaust and a mild cam, and I have a 2005 1500 ext cab with a 4.8, it's cammed, cold air, and decatted

Have a 07 2500 HD 2wd Cats Eye, I have owned several silverados in my life and hands down my Cats eye is my favorite, almost 200k on a 6.0 and I think i am good for another 100k Thats is a really nice find, congrats, i will be watching you as you upgrade yours.
