OMG, THANK YOU FOR POSTING! I loved this routine by OCC & my favorite from them...such talent & amazing choreography as well as all of Dan Sapp's routines! I remember seeing this performance live, so incredible. The summer before this competition our squad attended UCA Camp at Reno and these girls were there. They were so awesome and were so nice too!

Iconic routine i was blown away when I saw this. I feel like this routine paved the way for what college dance is now!!!!

This is so 90's and I love it. I used to love watching these competitions as a kid, and loved St. Thomas Moore because they were from Louisiana. It was amazing finally getting to be there and compete against them when I got older. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

This 1st tune was first played in 1983 under Mr Jackson. Way better and bolder here in 1986

This team was definitely hard workers. And their coach knew how to clean. I remember them doing this routine on asphalt over and over and over again until they got it right. All that floor work was done on outdoor basketball courts. They would go home covered in dirt. But they were together. As their choreographer they made the routine shine. Well done ladies. So amazingly awesome 🤩 I am a ‘89 HS graduate & had a very close friend who I was on our HS drill team with that specifically went to Memphis State with high hopes of getting on their dance team. Alas she didn’t make it but she can always say she went through their tryouts and got to go that college. I went to TN to visit her during that time & went to watch this team practice. They were some seriously talented athletic genuinely great performers. Thank you for putting the video up & giving me & others a chance to walk down memory lane 🎉

This seemed like yesterday! It was a lot of hard work and we sweated like dogs! But, oh it was so worth it to win this title!

My Aunt Cathy is one of the trumpet players in this. Her senior year. She was in the drill team the two previous years.

1985 Carson HS won the 4A football championship, baseball championship, basketball championship, and band, drill team & auxiliary unit championship! '85 was all the way live.
