I am amazed that I'm seeing this. I LOVE Italian food. I'm from NE but could NOT get that absolutely DELICIOUS pasta sauce taste I was getting in the little mom & pop AUTHENTIC restaurants when I cooked pasta sauce myself. One day, in a little Italian eatery in upstate NY, I was drooling over the spaghetti & asked the very elderly lady cook what it was that made it SOOOO good. Know what she said? A "secret" ingredient - SUGAR! IT WORKED! Tried it at home - THERE "it" was - THAT "taste"!

I'm over 65 yrs old, rarely ever have taken a "job" primarily because I couldn't stand the idea of putting on make-up & neat clothing every day. So I have led a "free-style" life forever! I chose to make & sell paintings in order to earn my bread and butter. It has been a wild but peaceful & prosperous life. Although it's hard for me to relate to people who have done the 9 to 5 job thing, driving to work every day etc. ugggh! My advice to young people is "Live & Breathe & Create With Heart!"

Your talk on BlogTalkRadio and your youTube videos are right-on! Thanks! I have done all my painting and marketing "as the Spirit moved me" and my "success" always came at a comfortable pace. Now I feel moved to market heavily on the internet as I am getting older and bolder now. Also, I've been a "sponsor" or "life coach" to jobless women who dabbled in the idea of being "entrepreneurship" because that is what I have always been passionate about. Now I desire to learn better ways to coach them.

Yes, I think many women struggle with the idea that it is better to give to others than ever to ourselves. I love the airplane oxygen analogy....you know how the flight attendant tells us that if we are traveling with children, etc, that we need to put our OWN oxygen mask on first?! If we don't take care of ourselves, we won't have much left to give to others! Or. as you expressed, much creativity, energy, etc! Here's to taking time to refresh and refuel! Keep it up!

Andrea, so many of us lose our "voice" and sense of confidence and identity...usually in those tween years and it can take so long to get it back! I love that you share your quirkiness now! I was so quiet in middle school, but look at us now sharing videos with the world! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the great message to "be who you be!" Being authentic is a lesson I have worked on over and over in different times of life and different settings...our relationships, work, etc can be so much more rewarding when we are genuine! BTW, I have a similar look most days - pony tail, sunglasses on my head (I forget and leave them on inside!) and workout clothes! Great idea to shoot with the beautiful natural background!
