I don’t understand what the L step achieves. It steps you back and changes lanes but it takes a naked angle that an opponent can just turn a couple of degrees and face you in no time, it will never out angle someone so I don’t know how an L step is better than simply just stepping back to make space. Yes if you step back you’ll stay square to your opponent, but if you L step you’ll also be square just 0.1 seconds later I guess. I think angles are only really useful when going in as opposed to moving out
Yeah I watched it and thought what was the point lol
If you are orthodox and another fighter orthodox L steps with good timing the target will be harder to reach. Stepping back brings you out of range and allows them to reset. L steps can sometimes make them try to chase you with the right hand thrown over their left side which has horrible leverage and forces you to be off balance a bit. But I feel like stepping back is just more defensive and its for you to reset while an L step actively engages back in and gives you a chance to counter in boxing range
@ yeah I get that but after you L step you are left square to your opponent and easy to be put on your heels. Mind you the L step doesn’t make a lot of space, so either you will have to actively circle out sideways after you L step or you have to bring your lead foot forward again and close down the space you just made to rest yourself. That’s why I think it’s bad because you either square yourself or you reset by bringing yourself into the space you just created
@@Phaminator525 orthodox to orthodox. If someone steps back and to your left, only an absolute idiot would throw a right hand. All you have to do is pivot about 5 degrees to reset while he has had to take 3 steps to get the same position.
Pivoting 'on Lead'.👍 [Noticed] L-step pivoting on Lead 360°
2 mixed up with 4

bro the gazelle punch is an upwards hook..
Floyd Patterson but with better form.
Mint. All of it!!!!🫡🏴🇬🇧💫
Keep up the good work man
You don’t have to rotate the front
how can I see his legs to take the lead dominate
Shit music
Ippos looks cooler though
its a fuckin anime if someone did that shit he gonna get hooked first
If u wanna use ippos gazelle punch instead of using left hook u can replace it with an upper cut but u need to be more lower to make ur upper do more damage i think thats why most people use gazelle punch with left hooks
Lame
Not trying to be super critical, however you are lifting your front foot up at the ball of your foot and rolling out to your pinky toe/outside of your foot, sacrificing stability and recovery for missed shots. I know its just a video supposed to emphasize the level change with knee bend and such but the point is to be able to drive from the rear leg, not have your weight on the front leg "pulling" your body into the punch. Keep Going!
60/40 Weight Distribution Principle = 40% Lead Leg, 60% Back Leg
@@tama-a-tumatauengahiku3647 I understand the principle and am familiar with variations of the percentage of dustribution for different styles or positions around the target. However, those guidelines are for stationary stances. In the instance of making contact and transferring force you need a driving point which should come from the rear leg when executing straight punches. You theoretically want 100% weight on the drive point and you wouldn't have any weight on lead leg since its in front of the center of gravity. The only time your driving point only comes from a lead leg is when that leg is the side for an uppercut, hook, or if you switch stances for a straight 90°. The reason you change level is to line the shoulder up with the target to minimize deflection, and if its an airborne strike then you're carrying momentum/ drive from the jump etc
ILOVE It
"i see bad video"
Almost like the style of crawford, retreat with the jabs and then push forward with the counter
Cold 🥶
What shoes or those?
How can you compare that weak ass punch to Mike Tyson
Yesterday that happened to me 😂
Buenos movimientos

Стойка неправильная
Liver shot

Your strikes and your movements are so controlled. How long did it take you to get such good form?
Hell yeah. Never done a boxing routihe before, but i'm excited to try. Your punches and body are incredibly steady.
Hey man, the algorithm brought me here. Great channel and workouts. Going to incorporate some stuff into my own training.
Hello coach, I have difficulty applying head movements during a fight and using the appropriate technique. What do you advise?
