On top of the castle, Cavaradossi and Tosca share a final scene, she thinking his execution will be fake, but he knowing it will be real. The shots are fired, and he is dragged in, dead, by Sciarrone and Spoletta. Tosca discovers the truth--"morto!" --"dead!" Offstage, Scarpia's goons discover he too is dead, and come after Tosca. She runs to the parapet and escapes-- in her own way. The conclusion of Tosca, with Salvatore Motisi, Victoria Tralongo, John O'Loughlin, and Evan Walker.
Cavaradossi (Salvatore Motisi) is about to be executed. The jailer (Evan Walker) enters, offers him a priest. No, he says, just take a note to Tosca for me. Then he sings "E lucevan le stelle": and still the stars shine. Note the beautiful stageing by Starlight Theater.
Act III is now up, please visit our channel for links.
The plot: As Tosca pleads for his mercy, Scarpia makes his move. Disgusted, Tosca flees. The Spoletta knocks, interrupting. Angelotti has killed himself prior to being captured. Cavaradossi is to be executed, but Scarpia lies to Tosca, telling her it will be a fake execution to cover up their escape. Tosca gets a written pass from Scarpia for her and Cavaradossi to leave. But will she really submit? Check it out.
The plot: Scarpia puts on his charm and tries to get Tosca to love him. She demands--'il prezzo!" what's the price? To save her lover, she must submit to Scarpia. But why? She despairs, "Vissi d'Arte"...I lived for love and music..why me?
The plot: Scarpia (Paul Brown) tries to force Tosca to be his lover (while his agents torture her true love, Cavaradossi in his torture chamber). "Tell me where is Angelotti and I'll free Cavaradossi---(provided you also giver me what I want)". She wont talk. Hearing screams, she gives in and tells. Then Scarpia lets her see Cavaradossi, who is dragged in by Spoletta and Sciaronne, bloody and beaten. Suddenly, Sciaronne enters with bad news--Bonaparte has won and the freedom fighters are coming.
The plot: Evil Secret Police chief Scarpia (Paul Brown) enters scheming to use Tosca (Victoria Tralongo)as bait to catch the freedom fighter Angelotti, who is hiding. He also has "plans" for Tosca. Tosca's love, Cavaradossi (Salvatore Motisi) , is in Scarpia's clutches. Scarpia confronts Cavaradossi: where is Angelotti? The loyal Cavaradossi won't tell. He is escorted by the spy Spoletta (Evan Walker) and the gendarme Sciaronne (John OLoughlin) to the to the torture chamber for questioning.

Victoria Tralongo as Tosca, Paul Brown as Scarpia, Salvatore Motisi as Cavaradossi, Evan Walker as Spoletta, John O'Loughlin as Sciarrone. November 20 2010 Surflight Theater, Beach Haven, New Jersey.
I recorded this with only the Kodak Zi8 video camera. I think it shows that the much maligned built-in microphone does quite well, easily picking up the string basses as well as the higher pitched instruments. I think it is also illustrative of the benefits of good singing technique. This little microphone heard the voices easily, even over a full orchestra, with no amplification. I think we will hear a lot more from these two extraordinary singers!
This is amazing.
Great performance!
The guy at the 2:22 mark in the middle, and the 3:22 mark in the middle must be brothers. The both look like they had some hot stuff! Great video!
