I love your thick locs. I just started mine. 33 in total. My hair is 3c/4a. I'm not sure if mine will look as thick as yours. I hope so.

I think its the exposure from the air however i found 1 hair oil thay jas helped with itch and problem solved. I have 46 locs

I use to experience itching with my first set of locs but it was because she used gel to retwist me. I don’t experience itching now with water and coco butter or water and coconut oil

Itching can also be because of products used during the process of installing.. I’m a cosmetologist who does her own locs and NEVER experienced itching that’s considered unusual

Beautiful locs. I’ve had several sets and this time I will be getting thick locs. Just combined my daughter micro locs from 192 to 33 and I’ll probably have the same or less cause I have shaved sides. Loving your thickness ❤

If you start your locs using loc gels, it will cause it to itch. I don't use gels for that very reason

We have the same amount I have 32 and started with 2 strand twist. When you started how often did you retwist in the beginning and what is the process on retwist to keep them thick like that??

Thanks for sharing your journey and techniques. I got my natural hair braided (tree braids and the remainder wrapped around the braid) but I didn't like it. I am gonna twist and bantu my hair for the rest of loc starter loc journey. My previous locs I just washed and separated and used the sponge, some where twist. Some were braids. I cut them off and I am back to loving again. This is my third set. Xoxo keep blossoming.
