After we submitted our application, we immediately received a confirmation. It took about two months until we received an email instructing us to go on-site to collect our card, right before our departure to the airport. Once we arrived at the airport in Japan, we were able to directly process and obtain our fast entry card.

If you will stay in the club transportation is free from hotel to airport and vice versa, if not you will need to pay, in both cases contact the hotel at your reservation they work with a local taxis/cab

We didn't take the shuttle bus; instead, we took a taxi to the airport. The price was likely reasonable, but since it's been a while, I can't quite remember the exact amount. Sorry about that!

Tipping hotel staff is quite common but not mandatory in Thailand.

Thank you for your question, and I apologize for the delayed response. In fact, I realized I misspoke in my video. We actually arrived at Haneda Airport. After exiting customs, there is a convenience store inside the airport. If you take the elevator down from the convenience store, you will find a photo booth. Once you're ready, you can proceed to the small office next to counter A in the departure hall to complete the process. The airport signage is very clear. I wish you a smooth process!

Also, do you think I need to re-take the photo again? Can I bring my passport photo that was originally submitted to JTTP? However, as you haven't been to Japan before, you need to complete a second-stage interview at a Japanese airport within six months of applying. Additionally, you must have entered Japan at least twice within a year from the date of this interview. Please ensure you will enter Japan within six months and have visited twice within the past year before submitting your application. As this is your first trip to Japan, you may not be eligible for the card this time. I wish you a smooth first trip to Japan and success in your future JTTP application!

Forgive me since I am a bit "dense" 😅 I do not understand so well the process...I will travel in Japan the first time, I will submit the request and then I will have to enter Japan a second time (within six months) to complete the interview? So the time I will do the interview should count as "second time in 12 months"?

It is also for tourists who would like to visit more than one time a year or who would like to buy an house there...

@@solid477 I do not want any form of residency.. I just want to be a "trusted traveller" (for personal, artistic and touristic reasons) with a small vacation home in Japan. I do not need any kind of long term visa nor I aim to a citizenship (I am fine as I am now 🙂). The JTTP would be the "ideal" kind of "formal" link (and a way to speed up things while entering the Country) with Japan I'd like to have. I already am in contact with real estate agents and I know that foreigners are actually able to purchase a vacation home in Japan (provided they have the money)... they cannot have access to mortage and the fact of owning real estate it is not a way to facilitate obtaining any type of residency or visa... but, again, this is not a problem for me.

@@hotelreviewsontheplanet I tried this at NGO airport. The lady was indeed trying to wave me into foreign passport line, and I was holding my card. The lady waved me to the automatic gate, where there were only 2 people including me. (while there were 50-60 on the foreigner passport line) I have a US passport, and the system wouldn't scan. The officer tried multiple times then it worked. I also exited Japan using automatic gate from NRT. I tried to scan but it didn't work. The officer came and told me US passport tends to be hard to read. Apparently, there is another sticker with the QR code. I found out you can either scan your passport the normal way, or scan the QR code. I was given the QR code sticker, and then it worked without an issue. Bottom line: I recommend getting a QR code sticker if your passport can't be scanned for whatever reason. I still think this is a really good program. As of now, I've only seen 5 people or fewer lining up for this particular gate.
