    that's a nice and pretty brutal promo from spike there, as he's usually the goofy guy lookin high af. for his endurance and him for legit giant killer premise for this feud alone they could of have spike win the title and then immediately lose it again a week after. he stuck around as the last dudley of ECW and was always over. i don't think he really translated anywhere else except mostly being the little guy who took really nasty looking bumps.

    Spike Dudley was on a podcast fairly recently and recounted how Balls and Axl stiffed the shit out of PN News in that tag match because according to Spike, News took advantage of being extra stiff against him due to his size at one show and Hayman put out the order. After that PN News was back on OVW and Vito signed with WCW and that loser leaves town match was the perfect excuse for them to leave. Makes me wonder if ECW stuck around where they would be in the tag team titles picture. The Unholy Alliance, F.B.I., Christian York and Joey Matthews (until one of them got sidelined), Danny Doring & Roadkill with the occasional Kid Kash/Super Crazy/Nova team up were essentially carrying the division but besides Roadkill, were all light heavyweights. Would have loved to see Da Baldies in the tag division!

    Fun Fact: While playing as Raven in Hardcore Revolution, during ANY tag match, hit the opponent with an Evenflow DDT, Their tag partner will attempt to save them and break the pin, but instead will just walk around Raven as he gets the victory. You can literally have a perfect win streak in Hardcore Revolution's Tag Team Career mode with Raven.

    I gotta say something about the Big Titan(+2019), The Gladiator(+2007), and Ricky Fuji VS Katsuji Ueda(+2017), The Great Punk(Katsutoshi Niiyama) and Tarzan Goto Match. Gladiator, Ricky Fuji, and Big Titan cut an awesome promo throughout the stadium before the match with Ricky Fuji cutting an awesome promo in Engrish saying he will kick out their opponents from FMW. The Gladiator Mike Awesome would say he will "shred their Japanese bodies with the barbed wire" and "Feast on their flesh". Big Titan then said "Its Titan Time!!!" "We're public enemy number one and we're the bad guys!! Here we go babay!" They then came out to a heavy metal song and not the music heard here in this tape, BMG Victor used some hip hop stock music. I know this information because I watched the fancam footage.

  • @loolewis8212
    @loolewis8212 3 года назад

    FMW was picked up by Toshiba EMI in June 1995, as the original tape distributor BGM Victor who released FMW tapes from February 1991 til Late May 1995 decided after Onita left FMW, FMW was useless without Onita albeit they did release one more VHS for FMW without Onita out of loyalty called "FMW Starting Over Again". Chaparita Asari in the second match invented that finish move the "Sky Twister Press" In the Ricky Fuji and Rock n' Roll Express vs the Monster World(Freddy Krueger, Boogie Man, and Crypt Keeper) Freddy Krueger was played by Doug Gilbert younger brother of Eddie Gilbert. He made an appearance at the royal rumble 1996 and had an infamous promo in 1999 against Jerry Lawler saying "He raped a 13 year old girl!". The other two dudes playing Boogie Man(Michael Myers character) was played by Bob Baragail a former body builder from Florida or Dominican Republic he was brought to W*ING in 1992, and stayed with them under the Boogie Man Character. He would wrestle under his real name in IWA Japan from 1994 til 1996 before ultimately disappearing from wrestling. Crypt Keeper was played by Puerto Rican wrestler Jose Estrada Jr. Who wrestled with W*ING from 1993 til 1994 under the Crypt Keeper Character he then went to IWA Japan and wrestled there from 1994 to 1996, deciding to leave for FMW for a bigger paycheck in 1996 he would stay with FMW until late 1997. He would join WWE in 1997 and be apart of their Los Boricua's stable before being injured by Edge in 1998 and leaving WWE in 1999 and going back to wrestle in Puerto Rico. The promo was by Victor Quiñones(PuertoRico +2006) he was one of the original FMW bookers if i recall in 1989 til 1991 could be wrong but he definitely had a hand in the early years of FMW. He would have a dispute with Onita in May 1991 and leave FMW, he would form W*ING in August 1991. He would form IWA Japan in May 1994 after W*ING folded in March 1994. He would stay with his own promotion until in 1996 and would rejoin FMW after being offered another job there he only accepted because IWA Japan was bleeding money and Onita had left FMW. He would stay with them til early 1998 before taking a backstage job with the WWE i believe he left WWE in 2001. He went back to Puerto Rico and would still be involved with wrestling in Puerto Rico til his death in 2006. The guy in the match after the goofy Fuji and Rock n' Roll express monster world match, who you guys said he was really over with the crowd is Ryuma Go(Hiroshi Yagi, +2009) a former IWE(International Wrestling Enterprise, third wrestling organization in Japan after New Japan and All Japan in the 70s and 80s)graduate who would wander around New Japan, USA, and Canada in the late 70s til the mid 80s. He's a very important figure in the Japanese independent wrestling industry as he would make this first important indy wrestling company in Japan called Pioneer Senshi in 1988 and yes Onita did wrestle for Pioneer Senshi in 1988 and would Wrestle Ryuma Go in April 1989. So he is way respected by the Japanese indy fans. He would have a strange but memorable career, but would be always over with the fans for his contribution for Japanese independent wrestling even before Atsushi Onita and FMW. He ran into legal issues and some health issues in the 2000s and would pass away in 2009 due to a blood infection.

    Also here is something else of note about Hayabusa(Eiji Ezaki) and Atsushi Onita. Hayabusa disliked Onita when he wrestled in All Japan Pro Wrestling back in the late 70s to mid 80s, he thought he was unimpressive with his high flying skill set and preferred Mil Mascaras of México and the Original Tiger Mask of New Japan Pro Wrestling (Hayabusa on Onita). Maybe the mutual dislike started because of this maybe.

    He didn’t put over Hayabusa because he was jealous that Hayabusa was more handsome than him. Even as far back as 1992 when they would go out to bars or nightclubs for sponsorship deals all the girls in the bar or nightclub would give their attention to Eiji Ezaki(Hayabusa), instead of Onita.

Eriko Tsuchiya(Shark Tsuchiya) & Miwa Sato & Kumiko Matsuda defeated Rie Nakamura & Yumiko Komatsuzaki & Naoko Kumazawa(19:00) 3. Sabu defeats Shoji Nakamaki(2:37, in Shoji Nakamaki's retirement match, Onita considered Nakamaki not good enough and forced him to retire, he would retire but it was only like a month retirement. Nakamaki would soon join W*ING in November 1992) 4. Amigo Ultra(Damián 666, México) & Ultramancito(México) defeated Baltan Seijin #1(México) & Baltan Seijin #2(México)(10:32) 5. Tarzan Goto & Grigori Verichev(+ 2006, Russia, Judo) defeated Leon Spinks(+ 2021, USA, Boxing) & Brian Sayodill(a Boxer and nowhere near as good as Leon Spinks, USA)(10:39) 10. Atsushi Onita defeats Tiger Jeet Singh(13:54, India, Canada. In a No Ropes Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match to become the new WWA Martial Arts Heavyweight Champion) BTW the cool ring announcer with the high pitch fast voice is Shoichi Arai(+ 2002, Shoichi Arai was the unfortunate owner of FMW after Onita left in May 1995, he rack up plenty debts and eventually would have FMW to declare bankruptcy in February 2002. With FMW closed down he still had to back huge debts to the Yakuza, Banks, and other individuals. Because of this he would commit suicide in May 2002)
