Did you know about the trick where you whip the 3 gold bars that are stacked on top of each other at the right time to double the money? I think this happens because when the 3 bars are stacked they count as 1 entity, but when they are separated (like from being whipped) the entity is deleted and is replaced by 3 entities (the 3 single gold bars), so when you run into the gold while whipping it you pick up the original entity before it is deleted and then pick up the new entities as well.

I've done everything else this game has to offer but eggplant because I'm too scared to try

I hate that room below Sylvie's computer room, the one with the clouds. The light made me think i could go there but i would just die over and over again. I tried to launch the fish using the gem, coyote time, mouse, etc etc. When i realized that th computer room would be outside the map shown in the forest i tried to hammer the map room to proceed. Thanks for the video, never would have figured out the actual way of getting there.

Hm. Re Cache, I dunno. It was experimental; Cache is one of the cards I have the least experience with, and I thought it was a good time to see how it went. It worked out fairly well, but you might be right that Cartographer would have been better. As for that TR, yeah, I have no idea. My best guess is that since I had followers already I felt like I had won, and it was sort of a fun, win-more buy. To be fair, none of the other 4s were spectacular, but I think Mining Village was better there.

I have done almost exactly that! It was actually a custom-made $2 that gave a buy back when my in-person play group made a lot of our own cards, but I think it was also exactly $9.

Because apparently I'm terrible! I guess I was just so wrapped up in my plan (I was talking about how Smugglers wasn't so bad since I could discard it to Vault) that I paid no attention to my opponent's turn. Good catch.

You're absolutely right, I played this one terribly and didn't realize just how badly when I was talking about it at the end. In particular, the turn where I don't apprentice a copper and then spend $5 on a spy is just so very terrible. Thanks for doing this out!

I think you can still do the Horn of Plenty strategy, but you have to trash more coppers and draw your entire deck each turn to make it work. I can easily see a 3-5x Province turn working out. Also, Mine >>> Pirate Ship here.

Assuming he's going Silk Road, I'd think he wants about two Barons and an Explorer, which is a lot of terminals. 4:50 Gold>Bank for the Silk Road strategy 5:40 pops really needs a second Baron before buying Silk Road. Everything about Baron is relevant to his strategy And then pops goes for BM/Explorer instead. I think second Baron would have let him get a much better Silk Road split.

1:00 I disagree; Cache seems pretty bad here when your goal is to win Tournaments and block your opponent's Tournaments. It's not nearly as big of a mistake as your opponent not getting Moneylender though. 4:20 Throne Room? Really? 8:30 Trusty Steed seems way better than Bag of Gold for your opponent. +$2, +4 Silvers is legit when you need multiple Provinces/Duchies to catch up. Unless someone already got Steed and I missed it.
