Cancer Trilogy - Instrumental (2015)

Uploaded 7 years ago originally on Soundcloud of 3 different songs, but I actually did this like... 9 years ago? Something like that. 3 random songs I did just all on guitar with some random effects, in a basement when I was super depressed.
Link is up top, there is a bunch of random stuff I had completely forgotten about in there, all from times I was very, very depressed. Enjoy the random photos I put in this, haha.

Ol Doggy of Mine - Demo
Просмотров 7314 дней назад
A song I wrote today about a doggo. Lyrics: You’re a good doggy, I know, You’re a good pal of mine, No matter where the wind blows, you’re with me all the time Even in the dark, and the drizzling rain Thank you for being a friend, each and every day. Even when I get mad, you still stay with me, Even when I go out, you sit through the pain, You’re good ol boy, I’ll love you all the same And I kn...
The Wildwood / Original song

Original tune I wrote this morning, just got around to recording a little video here tonight. This is the first draft of it. Wanna find a key that works best and mess around with the mic placement better. But it was fun, after a rather stressful day.
Blue Moon - cover by Nick Bishop

Howdy, I was listening to Bob Dylan's amazing cover of this song, and wanted to do my own. Tossed in some background guitar as well. All one-take. Pardon my poor editing skills, the video audio didn't record, so thankfully my external one still did, and tried to sync it up.

A favorite Dylan tune of mine I wanted to try. I’m no harmonica player so forgive my playing, haha.

Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright / Church St Blues - Dylan/Blake

Don’t think Twice It’s Alright / Church. St Blues crossover & medley. I finally remembered all the words. Songs are by Bob Dylan and Norman Blake respectively. Voice is a bit rough, first time trying since I got the flu over a week ago. But it’s fun to play this on the guitar! Changed up my own ending to the medley

Strum & Share: Loneliness
Просмотров 2673 месяца назад
Howdy! Just wanted to start this little series where I talk about some things on my mind, both good and bad. Starting with loneliness and how it’s felt for me, especially after quarantine. I’ll end these with an improvised or written song. This one I came up with the melody and just the words Loneliness and Me, rest is on the spot. Want to add, I am okay, I’m just an over thinker who needs an a...
Bathroom Faucet - Original Song

new original. I wanted a simpler song with fewer lyrics and some fun improvised guitar solo opportunities. I'm not good with names, but wrote this in my underwear just 10 mins before filming, because I heard my bathroom sink dripping under the sink and heard Amanda snoring. Brains are weird. Have a good night, morning or afternoon.
Colter Wall - Cypress Hills - Guitar “Lesson”

Hi, this is my first ever lesson. Not the best and most informative but tried. Had comments and messages here on RUclips, people found me on fb and instagram and also messaged me over the past year, so figured I’d finally doit. I don’t know musical theory, only took a couple lessons as a kid, and taught myself by ear. So, I’m mainly just doing a breakdown the chord progressions and later on, th...
I Was Told To Forgive This Guy - Nicholas Bishop

Random song "talkin" folk song, I wrote about being nagged to forgive someone you shouldn't, and feelings that came up. Based this one "character" on two folks in my life from my past. Footage has nothing to do with the song, just wanted to use some of this stuff haha. Most of it's from 2019.

Beautiful cover
Voice, humour, soul. What a combo😊
Beautiful sharing and song, man. You're an artist and that's the price you get to pay once in a while :) Also, you're likely resonating to larger spheres of what's it's like to be a human on earth these days. Please keep sharing. You're not alone.
That's crazily good! I would literally regret it if I never cliked into thi

What a nice work, Nicholas! Such a beautiful voice and wonder guitar!!! Hugs from Brazil (actually, we spell it Brasil)!
I think this is about the saddest song I know. 😢 Beautiful job, love your guitar & emotive voice. (And now you've reminded me that I never posted my own cover of it. Piano, completely different...)
Just went and listened to yours, glad you posted it :) Glad to see you here on youtube.
Beautiful song, I'm glad you are making this Beatles covers
Awesome! One of my favorite Bob tunes. Your harmonica really sells it. I subscribed within two notes. Great vocal too. I did this on uke a while back... cheers, Bill
Hey Nicholas! Very nicely done. Great guitar work to support your unique vocal on this Fab classic. Cheers, Bill
Amazing rendition of an incredible song! Great work!!
This is one of my favourite songs. Thank you so much for this.

I appreciate that :)
Great songwriting! Great vocals and guitar work. Keep at it!
Love this song! I really enjoyed your cover. You did a phenomenal job. Keep up the great work man!
😮😮😮😮 holy smokes this is impressive
nice, great tone
👏👏👏Always a joy
“I’m no harmonica player”. 😂. That’s why it sounds just like Dylan. Good job.
Hahah 🤣 I was trying to give a lore accurate Bob Dylan performance on that harmonica.
This is my wife and me favorite Bob Dylan' song
Bishop. Are you serious about "improvising" this song. This hook is killer, man. This is a classic frickin' country tune. If Merle sang this it would have been a contender for a no1 hit.. Not pulling your chain! this is ducking great. Doesn't hurt you've got a killer voice too. As for the ramble...I'm 40 with 4 kids, so i'm coming from a different place. But I think that happens around 30. Most people start to have kids and a family. And to be frank, friendships are no longer a priority. Or...I dont wanna say that. But my friendships that have survived. and grown since being 30, well those people have an explicit understanding that the friendship needs to morph. I'll admit that I honestly don't even see my best friends, but I make a ridiculous effort to call them every several days. My best friend I call multiple times on certain days, just to shout something dumb, or tell him something funny. So it's a different thing. The idea of going to "have a beer with a buddy" ...ha, well honestly, it's mostly completely unappealing. I've got 4 kids, a job, hobbies, a wife...driving out to have a beer at the end of the day, regardless of who it's with, is a serious effort and commitment. I'll certainly have a good time and really enjoy myself and be glad I went when I do go. But it's a commitment, and one I don't often make. The friendships that have survived are the buddies that on a phone call will join me to drag my kids to the playground, and they'll get maybe 30% of my attention and about 98% of our conversations will be interrupted. And this might seem selfish, but a good friend sees that I'm giving more than I've ever given...just maybe not directed at them. ;) I think covid had some effect of just getting people in different habits. But it's also age, and I suppose it's also just the times and technology as well. give me a ring sometime Mr. Bishop. I'd be happy to chat. Miiiiiike!
@@MikesMusicMethod yes I’m serious aha. I come up with one melody line and maybe one small phrase and improvise from that right after. I do it daily. I have a very hard time remembering lyrics, so I tend to just improvise something everyday for fun. I plan one doing another one of these videos soon, just had a promotion at work and been very busy. Thanks for your story man! I’m about to hit 29 early next year, and I don’t have kids, but I start to feel a lot of what you’re explaining, and see it in many people I know. My perception of a lot of this has even changed in the time I’ve made the video. Life’s an interesting little thing I’ll tell ya what. And shoot me a message over here, got fb and instagram and stuff I can call over sometime!
I haven’t heard this song in years. For some reason they had Clapton doing this and they took it done. I would love to get a version of his performance.
One of my favorite Dylan tunes as well. Pleasure to hear you cover it
Thanks, mang! Been getting back into that Dylan binge
I always get excited when your notifications pop up. Great job. Love this (love the added harmonica)
Thanks :) Tryin to get back into some of that style

Thanks very much man! And thanks, it’s a 1941 Vega C-46. I’ve had it for a few years now, I love it so much. I just picked up a Larrivee D-09 from 1987 as well.
