Honey Bee - Block 5 Billie's Sampler This block was really fun to make. Had a horrible personal moment discovered was no longer able to turn the edges on the small pieces so used raw edge applique. But turned out great www.quiltingonabudget.com/honey-bee/ #HoneyBee #BilliesSampler #applique #RawEdge #GridPiecing #GridQuilting #Patchwork #Pieciing #Quilt #Quilting

Peut on avoir le même discours en français . Merci
Thank you for your video! How do I geht the complimentary version of Premier 2x? I was looking for quite some time.
The only video out there on how to use the grid lines. All else show just using it as hard table top to cut on. Thank you sir
Can you show us how you made the lace quilt please? It’s lovely
It is a great deal of work but planning a new project. Been doing lots of piecing based quilt project lately
Is the notch an actual scant 1/4?
The edge is exactly 1/4" and inside edge 1/8" never use a scant
having difficulty understanding the grid with the rectangles in the grid can you show an example of a 24 in finished block
With a Laymone Star you can convert to Half Square Triangles or use 45° degree diamonds
@@jean-roberthunterdeuling7205 that's great, thanks. following you, always wanted to learn this method for quilting.
Do u need to update it? SHOULDN'T have 2
I love all your videos ! I hope you become a successful RUclipsr in the future! ❤
Another great quilt teacher is Jodi barrows she is awesome! Different technique I am quilting a lot faster this book looks amazing too ❤
I have a pfaff 3.0 and I’m in love it I want another pfaff . I can’t afford an icon the pfaff 4.0 or the 4.5 or the one you got I’m saving up for a used one ☝️
Hi! Would you say that it is stiff enough and foldable enough to make origami out of fabric, when using this product? Thanks!
It is very stiff. I don't know about the intricate folding of origami.
I like it!
Great idea and a really neat block. Thanks.
Thank you for the upload. Very interesting to use computer paper.
Yes find using 60 or 70 gram cheap printer paper work wonderfully
I’m also not a fan of the Drunkard’s Path block.
Am looking to move to the 590 in a few weeks (I currently have the 180 Artista). I just started calcium supplementation for my arthritis and see a difference just after a week. But don't use it alone, take with vitamin D3 and K2, you won't regret it!
Will this app give me block size with seam allowance and yardage?
Hello old friend…luv ya
Hi Hunter, is there a Chanel you’d recommend to start learning Quilting?
I like Kim Jamison Hurst of Chatterbox Quilts and The Quilters Way. Also watch Power Tools with Thread. fabric Cafe. And several others. Also love anything from Amanda Murphy
@@HunterDeuling wow, thank you 🌱 From the list I only know power threads.
Hi, may I ask your opinion? As you-ve used both Pfaff and Bernina, if you had to choose,wWhich machine would you choose, Pfaff 4.5 or Bernini 735?
They each have their pros and cons. I also have a Pfaff Creative Sensation. I am moving to Bernina. For dealer and reliability and price in my region. Think Pfaff has prettier embroidery but the difference is minimal. Only can tell difference holding up together. Pfaff IDT is more precise and reliable. But Pfaff is automated, locking you out of certain options. It is a personal choice. But one big thing is the Bernina Jumbo bobbins are absolutely amazing
@@QuiltingOnABudgetVideos I find the free arm on the Bernina and the jumbo bobbin the main diferencial. On the other hand the Pfaff seems to have more creative stitches, easier to manage, has IDT incorporated and cheaper accessories compared to Bernina. Not an easy choice for sure. Thank you for answering 🌱
@@doredys it is not an easy answer and both are fantastic machines. And you answered the your question, and that is why I am lucky to have both. Now suggest test drive and discover which is best for you based in how and what you create.
Thank you!
Well, I have had my machine for five years and did not know I could push the green button and sew!
Sorry your hand was in the way
What machine did you use for this please ❤
Landa I have several machines my Bernina Artista 200 has 360° stitches my old Husqvarna had Opti Stitches. However this video was made using my Pfaff Creative Sensation. But my old Pfaff Performance 5 also had Maxi Stitches but there are many machines with side motion sewing 🧵.
Hello ❤️ I just started following you, ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
I think the colors in this block are beautiful. For higher loft, you might try polyester batting. I have always used polyester due to my husband having asthma from cotton lint he breathed as a child on his parents cotton farm. It has a nice loft.
I am slowly changing. I started would only use Natural Fibers in my projects. But slowly let go. Used here is a 50/50 cotton polyester batting. Really like it.
Thanks for sharing Rob, great information.🥰
Glad you enjoyed it
It's so beautiful.❄️❄️❄️

Gotta love all these nine patch variations!
That’s a lot of steps prior to actually stitching! I haven’t used my 590 yet.
You should be wearing it out. My 590 is a beast and does everything i throw at it
Super helpful! Thank you for doing this video! I am thinking about getting the 590 tomorrow!
Hello! I hope you had a delightful day. I'm having trouble keeping up with all the RUclips Videos that I like to watch with my grandkids popping in and out of this home but they are so much fun to be around. I hope you have a joyful week ahead. Thank you for sharing your time, talent and video!
Hello! Such a lovely quilt block! I hope you had a joyful day. I had a lovely day with some talented ladies, sewing and chatting online. Thank you for posting this video and for your time to make this.
I love learning the history of these traditional blocks. Your beautiful fabrics choices give the traditional a more modern feel. Thanks so much. I’m going to have to try making this one and I have the perfect colours fabrics for the Fourth of July🇺🇸 or I could stick with reds and white for Canada Day🇨🇦. 😉
Hello! Great quilt block! I hope you have a beautiful and creative week ahead! Thank you for posting this video.
Could you use a 97 D for an invisible zipper?
Yes but you would have to calculate and mark manually
Could you use a 97D foot to install an invisible zipper?
Hello! I just got to sit down with my hand quilting and to watch your video. I hope you have a wonderful and creative week ahead! Thank you for sharing your video and your talent.
Hello! I finally get to sit with my hand quilting today and watch your video. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for posting this video and sharing your time.
Hi, I hope you had a fun day. I just got to sit and get my hand quilting so I can watch your video! I hope you have a delightful week ahead! Thank you for sharing this video.
Rob I have the old 570 which does not have all these extra features. I'm thinking of upgrading and am not sure which machine to consider. I'm sort of afraid of the wider throat plate. I had a 730 years ago and felt like I could never get an accurate 1/4" seam allowance. I quilt a lot so that's very important. What machine do you think would be good for me?
The big difference is the bigger bobbins and a few stitches. If you are not into embroidery go with the newer 570. The new 570 and 590 are basically the same except for embroidery. Also you will move to the 97d foot which is beyond fantastic for 1/4_ seams and many other things.
Subbed…..don’t think I e ever seen you with facial hair….luv ya my friend….do you do TikTok?..
Hello and another fabulous video! I hope you had a wonderful day. I spent my day in my sewing room and filming for our little channel but now I get to watch your video. I just want you to know that you make me smile. Thank you for posting this video and sharing you expertise!
like your take on the 8@time HSTs.... agree with you about the bias method ... Lately I have using EvaPaige Quilt Designs ACCORDION method of HSTs
please work on your camera work ... try backing up the camera 10 inches and more over head ... too often you are working off to the side or put the iron in the center of the camera view .... My hubby and I built a simple over head camera stand.... braces come up from the sides of the table and we put plexi glass spanning from brace to brace then had a few holes in the plexi glass where the camera zoom lens comes thru ... once in focus it works pretty good to allow us to demonstrate my sewing and his crafting.
Hi! I hope you had a fun day! I spent my day in my sewing room getting a big project done and now I get to sit and watch your video while I make yarn. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead. Thank you for posting this video and sharing your positive energy.
