I decorated my staircase with plastic table covers, yes plastic table covers that I purchased from Michael's. I think it turned out so cute! I know this may be a bit extra but my kids absolutely loved it and that's all that matters!
I used double sided tape and that seems to be holding up well!
I will say the table covers are very delicate so be careful when handling it.
