I don’t think he’s gonna laugh Edit: I was wrong
my God, this was incredible!!!
@@olgarogach8868 It was incredible to witness in person!!! He’s so talented.
A beautiful ensemble of voices! Superb arrangement, too.
Thank you very much!
Good rendition. And Thank You audience for not wooping it up (as is the new 'American Idol' trend) when anybody hits a high note, and letting him (and us )appreciate the entire performance as a movement.
That made me horse 🐎 laugh 😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂and it sounds like this huhihuhuhu!!!
Why does sound like a car engine-
agreed 💀
Bad audio. Greeat performance.
Zzzzz. 🙄
Beautiful voice. Needs more breath control under those lovely notes.

Schmuel would work till half-past ten at his tailor shop in Klimovich Get up at dawn and start again with the hems and pins and twists Forty-one years had come and gone at his tailor shop in Klimovich Watching the winter soldier on, there was one thing Schmuel missed 'If I only had time,' old Schmuel said 'I would build the dress that's in my head A dress to fire The mad desire Of girls from here to Minsk But I have no more hours left to saw' Then the clock upon the wall began to glow... And the clock said: 'Na na na na, na na na Oh Schmuel, you'll get to be happy! Na na na na, na na na I give you unlimited time! Na na na na, na na na So Schmuel, go saw and be happy!' But Schmuel said 'No, no, it's not my luck I've gotta make due with the time I've got' Schmuel was done at half-past ten and he said 'Good night, old Klimovich' Put on his coat to go, but then the clock cried, 'Wait! Not yet! Even though you're not wise or rich You're the finest man in Klimovich Listen up, Schmuel Make one stitch and you'll see what you can get' But Schmuel said 'Clock, it's much too late I'm in peace with life I accept my fate...' But the clock said 'Schmuel! One stitch and you will Unlock the dreams you've lost!' So Schmuel, with reluctance, took his thread He pulled a bolt of velvet and he said 'I should take out my teeth and go to bed I'm sitting here with talking clocks instead!' And the clock said: 'Na na na na, na na na Oh Schmuel, you'll get to be happy! Na na na na, na na na, I give you unlimited time Na na na na, na na na Just do it and you can be happy!' So Schmuel put the thread through the needle's eye And the moon stared down from a starless sky And he pushed the thread through the velvet black And he looked, and the clock was turning... back So he grabbed his shears and he cut some lace As the hands reversed on the old clock's face And his fingers flew and the fabric swirled Find more lyrics at ※ Mojim.com It was nine-fifteen all around the world Every cut and stitch was a perfect fit As if God Himself were controlling it! And Schmuel cried through a rush of tears 'Take me back! Take me back all forty-one years!' And on it went down that silent street Till' Schmuel's dress was at last complete And he stretched his arms And he closed his eyes And the morning sun finally started to rise And the dress he made on that endless night Was a dress that would make any soul take flight Not a swatch, not a skein had gone to waste Every ribbon and button ideally placed And sawn into the seams were forty-one seasons of dreams Dreams that you could feel Coming real And that very dress, so the papers swore Was the dress a girl in Odessa wore On the day she promised forevermore To love a young man named Schmuel Who only one day before Had knocked at her kitchen door Plenty have hoped and dreamed and prayed But they can't get out of Klimovich If Schmuel had been a cute goyishe maid He'd've looked a lot like you Maybe it's just that you're afraid to go out on to a limb-ovich Maybe your heart's completely swayed But your head can't follow through Shouldn't I want the world to see The brilliant girl who inspires me? Don't you think that now's a good time to be The ambitious freak you are? Say goodbye to wiping ashtrays at the bar Say hello to Cathy Hiatt, a big-time star! 'Cause I say: Na na na na na na na na Cathy, you'll get to be happy! Na na na na na na na I give you unlimited time! Na na na na na na na Stop temping and go go be happy! Here's a headshot guy and a new BackStage Where you're right for something on every page Take a breath Take a step Take a chance Take your time Have I mentioned today How lucky I am To be in love with you?!
Love this ❤
Inspiring and refreshing. I'm practicing this, but I need to sing without a mic at a concert hall. Those conditions are bit intimidating, but I feel inspired by his reaction at the end of the performance. He really conquered that high Bb.
I find him amazing...vocals great and he makes the story new..who is this young man????
His name is Ryan McCartan :) he was also in Heathers, Frozen and Wicked to name a few
ryan just loves that mic cord
Why isn't he the biggest star on Broadway? Give me one reason.
Hearing this not sung in a belt sounds so weird but I love Elle and Ryan’s voices so 👍❤️
Watching him singing feeling all these emotions that he was feeling as he was singing the song so beautiful
bro predicted his future 😂
I just compared this to the one posted of him singing on stage and holy crap his voice is just AAAAAAAA I CANT ITS TOO GOOD
Just saw WSS in Chicago. I have never heard Maria sung like that. Absolutely breathtakingly wonderful!
I think that's a nay
coming back to this after seeing him perform as tony last night
Wow it's Veronica's girlfriend and psycho ex-boyfriend singing together!
Hahahah I love this comment
He sang it beautifully ❤
Wonderful voice, but over-acted. JMO. Needs to tone it down. All the "acting" distracts from the song. Take a lesson from Bernadette Peters who hardly moves when she sings, but you always know her emotions when she's singing.
I personally love the amount of acting, I think it really adds to the giddy experience of first love. To each their own I guess!
@@cursedkaleidoscope He does it with every song he does. He doesn't need to "show" so much with his body. Let the voice tell the story. Check out Bernadette Peters singing almost anything and watch how she controls her body and the voice reflects the emotions. In the Tonight duet in Chicago, she is just as giddy, but it's more subtle. But as you say, to each their own.
@@Makeji I do think that singing more controlled with less body movement is also beautiful, but I think that works better with film whereas using more body movement fits the theatre setting more. Cameras are super close, so subtle movements read well and bigger gestures seem over-the-top. Theatre, however, is performing for the person in the very back row who still should be able to see your acting! I think that could be why Ryan's acting seems overdone since the camera puts the view much closer than the acting was meant for. Just my opinion tho lol
@@cursedkaleidoscope I beg to differ. Bernadette Peters is a stage performer. Also, Lea Michelle performs her solo numbers with very little body movement. Most of the best stage singers act with their voices, not their bodies. Ramin Karimloo, Ben Platt, Mandy Patinkin, Patti Lupone and the two ladies mentioned above. They don't flail their arms around and make faces to convey emotion. Stillness attracts more attention than overt movement on stage. Anyway, you like the guy. I find him uncomfortable to watch and unbelievable in the character. He could learn from his co-star, who has a lovely voice and conveys emotion through that medium.
@@Makeji We KNOW you beg to differ. Make sure you come back to this post again so you can get in the last word. Again. Again. and Again.

This is gorgeous. You can feel him tasting her name
Really awful mediocre singer. He has no voice and horrible stage presence. Really very boring
It was worth the wait. Is this lovely horse a but sarcastic perhaps
I WILL DIE IF I DONT SEE THIS LIVE
