The Slowdown Podcast: Conversation with Major Jackson and Aria Aber, plus Q&A!
Thank you both for always being so genuine and supportive of other cancer survivors. I know you must both hear this a !ot, but its comforting to see you both doing well and to hear you talk about your experiences.
This was wonderful! So glad I found it!
Rosie’s talk show was the best ever!! A unique show full of star friends and broadway stars and incredible interviews ❤
I know this interview was posted a while ago. The teacher in question wasn't saying it was wrong for her students to change how they identify, but how long was too long for her to adjust to addressing them correctly 😊
Really liked this interview! I have always been a fan of Rosie O’Donnell. Admittedly I don’t always agree with some of her views and she probably wouldn’t agree with all of mine either lol however that doesn’t mean I’m not a fan. I’ve always found her hilarious, loved her in movies I’ve seen her in, and her heart for helping others has always been evident and I admire how she is authentic, with a big heart, and gives credit where credit is due. I totally admire her dedication to motherhood and putting her kids first and she’s a good mom. I think her own mom would be proud of the good mom she is. I always wanted to be a mom too and like Rosie put my career on hold to be a full time mom too. (Disclaimer I’m nowhere near an accomplished career woman like she is lol. Though I love being a teacher, I won’t have the financial success she has. lol) .anyway great interview!
I'd completely forgotten about the cow pattie mushrooms. I grew up in the same area of Oklahoma during that same time.
I love both of you beautiful people (and whoever is reading this) ❤😘❤
What a Fun Conversation! Love You Both! 🥰
Did Ween sing Tigs intro song. Sure does sound like them
promo sm
Tig great interview!!
I recommend this pretty well done. Although if you were paying attention at the time, don't expect to learn anything new.
Sixteen likes. That's a shame. You women are fucking awesome. Thank you.
Hope your new podcast has video. Without it, you will have lost a lot of potential viewers.
Do you know what a podcast is?
Should have had video. It makes a big difference.
Lizards and lockups call it L&L
Luv Rosie since she was a VJ on VH-1! Keep being you Rosie!
I luv Julia on Seinfeld. She was the best supporting actress by far. Her facial expressions are the bomb! 😂The when she paired up with Wanda Sykes on New adventures of Old Christine that was hilarious. I would try to catch the reruns when they ran at 5:30 AM. Great interview Teig. Maybe Julia can be a guest on Handsome Podcast?🤔🙏 ✨✨💕💕🌈☮️
😂 good one
100 years....CLIMATE related⁉️⁉️⁉️
Words that were once used don't work anymore. Soooo.... Each person involved can switch it up. Change is FOREVER INEVITABLE ❤️
It only took 30 seconds for "the Seth laugh"...love it!!!! 🥰😁
Rosie’s the best ❤
Does anyone know what the project they were talking about doing together might be?
Thank You So Much!!! As an ENBY who is less than 2 weeks away from surgery, this episode was very affirming. Especially the pronoun segment. I think it may be a generational thing. Living in Portland has it’s high points for an ENBY Queer person. But growing up in the southeast obviously left some impression on me. Stitch
Interesting.
The question about the dog : I can't believe it. It's just a fucking dog. People are more important than dogs. I know now it's the opposite in society, animals have more rights and compassion than human beings nowadays. But it's a fucking mistake. If you want to find a cause to show off how humane you are, try homelessness, old people, sick people, women and children victim of violence, racism, etc.
Great Conversation!!! Thankyou
LOL, Dorothy Dix was a real-life advice columnist. Here is part of her obit: As "Dorothy Dix," Meriwether was a forerunner of today's advice columnists. Her columns on life, love, and marriage were carried by newspapers everywhere. One of her most famous columns covered her ten "Dictates for a Happy Life." She was also the author of "How to Win and Hold a Husband," "Hearts A La Mode," and "Fables of the Elite."
I’ve been WAITING for this collab interview !!! I WOULD LOVE to see a “ TIG , ROSIE O, and KATHY GRIFFIN” TOUR!!!!!
Yay! Good talk.
Don't you two realize that your voices are ASMR for some people? I don't actually know who, but I'm absolutely sure there are some. It's a big world. There's always some. Just take that to heart.
Last year I got my 2nd only request to be a juror. My first one was when I was 35, and I got my boss to write an excuse to get me out of it. I worked for a very small company and there was me, my boss and one part time employee. We all needed to be at work, every day. Back then in the 1980s, it wasn't a big deal to getting out of jury duty. In 2022, I got another jury summons, and this modern one explained there was very few ways to getting out of it. You can't just throw them away,....that is against the law and you can be fined and even jailed, for refusing to participate. That was scaring me,....and by 2022,...I was now retired, and handicapped. I have to get myself places as I struggle to walk with a walking brace,....a simpler version of a rolling walker. Many handicapped people have an entourage,....like many helpers. Someone to open the doors, help them navigate steps and ramps, doorways, etc. I do not have a team of helpers. I operate all by my self. I had to request from my primary doctor an official excuse to get out of jury duty. The paperwork suggested, I could be denied, even with a doctors note. There was a special number I needed to call and a very limited time the phone lines were operative, to leave a formal note explaining how my handicap, would make my attending jury duty, be extremely stressful on me. I would be harmed by a jail sentence and a steep fine, for ignoring a jury duty summons. It's madness that they can jail and fine a person for refusing to be a juror. Times are bad, and most people do not want to be jurors. Even though they pay a few bucks, for your time. I have met a lot of older retired people who enjoy being jurors. But then again they are not handicapped, as I am. You get like something around $25.00 a day for your services, and paid parking. Besides being partially crippled, I have bladder issues, so that would have been an added layer of anxiety. A friend of mine was a juror for a murder trial that took weeks, to arrive at a verdict. He had to stay in a hotel with the other jurors, for a couple of weeks. That is too fucked up.
Good talk.
The "high wheeler" or Penny-farthing, were invented around 1870. I find it weird that is seems so primitive, considering, by 1840, steam engines were being employed for locomotives, and they were complex machines, and very sophisticated, mechanically.
The Dwight character was so hilarious and a constant pain in the ass, within that "office", he was the ultimate suck-up,...the writing for that character was very rich. I'm not sure anyone person could possess that much ass-hole-ness. I still laugh just remembering some of the stupid things he did,....( his character did).
11/2/23.........Hilarious!.........My opinion: You can't un-invite guests to a wedding,...however you could change your mind based on a budget you can't meet. You can tell the newly uninvited you just can't afford 300 guests. Or a tricky way to get them drop out, is to change the venue to a far-away location, that requires an expensive air plane ticket at their own expense. There must be some people who can be bumped,....that won't damage your friendships.
Hi APM! Thanks for providing open captions. Something important to add for accessibility is doing it more like a transcript because Deaf/Hard-of-hearing folks won't know who's speaking... you only put the words, but not who's saying what.
Thank you for pointing this out! We will adjust for the future.
I adore Conan
Fun talk.......That last part, "being asked to change your name by your boss". Is a BIG ask. The possibilities are endless. Where I worked ,a lot of the guys were named David or Dave. My work friends/coworkers gave me the nickname: Raven. I thought that sounded cool.
The Horizontal Watusi......instead of of sexy time. lol
I'm almost 70,....(a dude),.......Everyone I know has already died. My folks died at 70 & 77. Most of my male buddies died at 55,...& 63, 65. I can't believe I'm still alive. I'm not real healthy,...and I suffered with depression and anxiety, since I was 10 years old. By age 65, I was becoming crippled. I have a terrible hand tremor. (not Parkinsons). My spine is messed up, and I'm in chronic pain for more than 15 years. All back pain related. My doctors refuse to prescribe anything to give me some relief. Drugs that could help are addictive. I've heard heroin is helpful. But it is illegal, and super addictive.
Wha?!.....This is the last show?...I just discovered this,...a couple of days ago. Been laughing a lot. I'll look for the past episodes.
Thanks Conan & Tig..........I always get a chuckle from you two!
Woohoo! What a great conversation!❤️
You're both awesome people!!! 🙂
That photo of Conan is super Funny!! I bet he sent it over to her like some conceded Celebrity. LOL. 😂
Leslie Nielsen pranked The Cowboy Junkies on SNL.
