Regarding Amy's comments re younger gen watching in clips and highlights - how does that bode for future in-person attendance (ie CPL and NSL specifically). Will they be interested in in-person events? Will they have the patience to sit for 90+ minutes for a match? Will more North American 'entertainment' need to be introduced to keep interest ie cheer/dance squads, t-shirt cannons, time outs?

For a lot of the current Canadian players, you have to imagine the best thing is to stay put wherever they are getting regular minutes and expect that a good WC showing will raise their stock immensely and result in far better moves than they'd get prior.

Ahmed is ready for a big move, imo. He really proved himself at the highest levels with Canada. Some players look like a fish out of water (initially, at least) when they make the step up. Ahmed looked like his usual self right outta the gate - a genius on the ball and an absolute killer on the press. He deserves a big move. Of course, the big question is whether or not he really needs that move in order to be at the top of his game for '26. Would obviously be bad for him to ride the bench into the WC.

The MLS will continue to be stigmatized until we stop the flow of European-based players who see the MLS as a pre-retirement option.

Great discussion. It is always interesting to hear Jesse's insights. One note on Buchanan. According to an Inter media source yesterday, Ajax is out as a loan option. Apparently any loan would have to be within Italy otherwise there is some not insignificant tax issue that would arise.
