The issue is British Entitlement, not the time. You feel like because it's British, that the Brits have some kind of first dibs on it, and that's just illogical for a show that's going global and has fans worldwide, you guys still get literally everything else, so stop fussing fr.

I think it's cuz the Brits think they're the only fans of this show, which is kinda not true, and they're having trouble accepting that Who is global now.

There actually isn't an airdate controversy, only the Brits are upset, and it's solely because they aren't getting the pandering they feel entitled to ngl.

David has already said his time on the show is over and his story is done so I know right off the bat this video is clickbait bullshit

I started watching Dr. Who with the 2005 revival. I enjoyed Eccleston's era, loved Tennant's era, my favorite by far. I did not enjoy Smith's era in the beginning but it grew on me. Same with Capaldi's era though with Capaldi it was a bit worse I refused to watch his stuff at all until his second? Series. Though it grew on me over time and I think some of the best new who adventures are with Capaldi. Just a couple of weeks ago I finally forced myself to sit through Whittaker's era and I was really unimpressed. I will never understand people saying it was just bad writing. I have nothing at all against Whittaker as an actress and have no issues with the doctor being a woman. As I loved everything that had to do with the fugitive Dr and want to see more with her in the role. From what I have seen I think I will enjoy Gatwa's era. I don't see any issues with Tennant coming back and I don't understand the people complaining about it. Tennant was imo the best Doctor we have had ever. I also don't see any issues with the bi-generation. As it leaves the door open for any and all past doctors to make a return and that is a great thing. New doctors in stories with old ones is nothing new, and it annoys me when people act like it is something that is undermining an actors role as the doctor when it only adds nostalgia to an adventure and gets more people to view it. Gatwa is a very talented up and coming actor I don't think he will stay in the role long, I believe that's why they are keeping Tennant in their back pockets. If Gatwa decides hes done then give the reigns back to the duo that made the show popular and made it work which was Davis and Tennant. The people that have an issue with that are clearly misremembering why they started watching the show in the first place as I would guess over 90% of current viewers started watching during Davis's run. They want to bring new eyes to the show and that's fine but the one thing the show does not need is to go overboard with the PC culture because that will make the vast majority of viewers stop watching and it will be the final nail in the coffin of the show. As Chibnall and Whittaker already ruined it for most people.

It very much could be a good series for Ncuti, IF they just let him do it!!! Repeating something like The Watcher is just not worth it. They CLEARLY have no plan!!!

Based on the three-seasons average, once current filming wraps, RTD starts sketching the season Ncuti leaves! BUT my suspicion is they take a production pause (covered by Season 2 broadcast and spin-off), followed by another back-to-back shooting block, so Ncuti does four seasons.

Enjoyed the review, especially your thoughts on the bi-regeneration. As I just like to watch the tv show, I don't know the history or the other stories like you both do. Maybe having 20 mins of Dr 15 is to make up for the usual regeneration from 14 to 15. I wasn't too sure about 14 having his own tardis. The way I think about it is maybe 15 gave it to 14 as part of his healing. I totally get your comments on the implications so yes only time will tell. I wasn't a fan of the hand picking up the gold tooth but it did remind me of missy. I love the spice up your life sequence and NPH is excellent as the toymaker. 15 is a fresh version; free, at peace with himself and ready to have fun. 💙

Enjoyed the review. I thought the episode was weirdly clever. I prefer the practical over CGI. The acting by David and Catherine is super. 💙

Michael Caine really sells this movie with his performance. Its such a fun take on Charles Dickens classic story. Love to watch it every Christmas. Merry Christmas!

I really wish The Muppets 'Office' style sitcom was continued; I really liked it lol. Gonzo is offically a 'whatever' -sometimes he's shown as an alien. The character who I think has the wreath thrown at him & gets the turkey at the end is Bean Bunny who's a kind of recurring character. Can you tell I'm a little bit of a Muppet fan? 😅 If people like fourth wall breaks and that kind of humour, the original Muppet Movie & the early stuff would suit them.

Unfortunately the BBC doesn't let individuals from other countries pay a license fee to get access, so piracy is the only way to see TotT outside of the UK. Surely the BBC should've known it would happen.

The new theme tune is very disappointing. It’s just a messy mix of Murray Gold’s versions. The theme was never meant to be orchestra but electronic. The 20th Anniversary special at the end of episode blended the original with the new perfectly. I would have preferred a new composer as I think Murray Gold is burnt out. At least keep the theme tune haunting and electronic. Segun Akinola’s theme tune is way better.

People have mentioned how Fifteen's theme is like James Bond. With the music and costumes they are taking it back to the 1960s.

A Musical would annoy me continuity wise but if they make an in universe explanation work. I would love it

I remember watching this when it aired (at 5am in Australia) sat on the floor in front of the TV, so excited the entire time and then having to be completely NORMAL about it all day until my family watched it in the evening, was absolutely worth it to see my dads reaction to Tom Baker's (his favourite doctor) cameo

The heart and soul of the show was ripped away when Murray left and I for one can't wait for him to return. Chibnall era music was lacking emotion and any pashion at all!!!!!

It's a big Moffat trope for stalking to be the romantic beginning of a lifelong relationship. Like the guy from Hull in Blink. And I'm pretty sure there is at least one more example too.

James Corden is actually one of my highlights about this episode. I have quite different opinions on some of the writing and humour, but these things are subjective.

wow the sound in this one is kinda terrible oop

silurians may look cool, but the audio commentary is a bit depressing regarding that. Moffat asked for 'sexy lizards'... and not only are the women silurians sexy, but the men ones are just not sexy. So idk, it's kinda a bit creepy uncomfortable vibe rly, which is i guess pretty standard Moffat. If they r gonna be sexy lizards, let the men be sexy too.

Weirdly, I actually don't like a lot of this episode. It's one of those ones with a few really good scenes which carry it for me. And I actually prefer the flow of The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People on rewatch 🤷‍♀️ Find it a more interesting concept.

Did he say "I raised your daughter" as in the subtitles when he was going back to himself? Wasn't that a reference to missy? Or did he say "I erased you doctor"?

Interesting hearing you two say the first half was quite weak; personally I felt that the train sequence, along with Dan's departure was great!

Oh, here's another negative about Ambrose... why does she have a man's name? Perhaps Chibnall latched onto the "-rose" bit and assumed it was a female name, but it ain't :)

I also love the new Silurians, not least because they're biologically more convincing. I'm thinking specifically about the phenomenon of Convergent Evolution, which results in very different species evolving similar body shapes to solve similar evolutionary problems - it's why whales look superficially like fish, or thylacines looked like wolves, for example. On that basis, it makes perfect sense that terrestrial reptiles should have evolved broadly "human" characteristics, and I think the new design captures that perfectly. They're so much more believable than the classic Silurians, fond of them as I still am.
