Shelburne Ma, crossing the Deerfield River Northwest of Bardwell's Ferry Bridge. I think there is an eagle or vulture at 5:36. I'm going with eagle. What do you think? Very windy! At the top of the ridge the tree tops almost look like waves on the ocean at 1:35. The drone was blowing all over the place. The footage is stabilized in GyroFlow with horizon lock on. It's cropped in quite a bit in places because the drone had to roll a lot to try to maintain a line in the wind. The unstabilized video shows a VERY bumpy ride. He didn't seem too annoyed with it on so I'll likely make more of these. I know he loves doing this but after seeing it from his perspective I can't imagine why. Dog reasons I suppose. This is the Connecticut River below the Turners Falls canal. I spotted some people at this spot when crossing the bridge the other day and thought it might make for an interesting spot to fly. It's always a bit nerve-racking flying in a spot where you know you'll likely lose the drone and camera if you go down, but I suppose that's all part of the fun.

You can see that it is cropped in a bit with noticeable zooming in and out in places, but the horizon remains level and it looks a bit more cinematic. Honestly I'm not sure which I prefer. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Found this on an SD card from a few weeks ago. These days I would rate this as a typical flight. I wish I could get out more and work on improving my skills, but even so I had a blast. For me there's nothing quite like the immersive flight experience.

I like the dirt road approach at the end, for some reason
I tried setting up The GoPro to get some motion blur by fixing a low shutter speed and using a dark filter. It's supposed to be more aesthetically pleasing. I'm not sure I like it, and the video is a bit overexposed, but your comment is food for thought. Thanks Phil.

Believe it or not I think these were the stock out of the box video settings. No ND filter.

I'll look. It seems to fly fine with a new Nitro Nectar Gold 300mAh though. This flight was on a well used 300mAh battery that works OK in my mobula6 and moblite6. I think I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the higher current requirements of this drone simply require a battery that's in pretty good shape, while you can get away with an old battery on the lighter drones because of their lower current requirements.

what battery are you using?
A GNB 300mha that works fine in my mobula 6 and moblite 6. It definitely works better with my new 250 and 300 nitro nectar golds but that's just about it, and even with those the flight time is nothing to write home about. NewBeeDrone customer support suggested the connector pins are wearing out prematurely or one of the motors may be damaged. I don't think either one of those is the case. What I have yet to do is turn down the video transmitter from 150mw down to 50 or 25 and see if that makes a difference.

Yeah, I've been flying them down to 2.9V and seeing them recover to 3.3 - 3.4V. I can live with that. It's worth noting the the Moblite 6 and 7 I just received come default with the warning voltage set at 3.0v and the min voltage set at 2.9V. In my opinion charging tiny whoop batteries to 4.35V and running them down to 2.9 - 3.0V increases the fun factor enough to justify potentially shortening the battery life a bit.
