    This pretty much dont works with any character made in character creator it seems, everytime i enable it my character loos like he is flying or he bend his knee for no reason

      @@KenzoGamesOfficial did you set your model as humanoid in your import settings? Did you make sure that in case your model has a ragdoll that it is NOT in the same layer as the one iStep interacts with? Best regards, Kreshi

    Yeah as the other guy said, it's not your fault. I'm a UE developer and I checked the old marketplace DAILY for cool new stuff. FAB? I can't even be bothered to check for new free assets every now and then. I don't know what it is, it just doesn't appeal to me AT ALL. It's a pain to look at, it's a pain to search stuff, it's not for me as a UE developer anymore. I also have a few products on FAB and I don't even expect selling anything anymore, even the recent black friday sale was really really bad.

    I think you are doing yourself a great disservice spending so much of your time in self-doubt and basically blaming yourself for "bad" explanation in order to justify the incredibly poor sales of your product on Fab. Your product looks truly excellent. But you won't sell it on Fab because Fab was designed with a "Vision" to make it the Superstore for the world so that anyone that plays UEFN can get an asset and put it there... it will be amazing... the whole world can now be involved in playing in a virtual playground. Except... that's not how it works. The Unreal Engine Marketplace sold "direct" to a specific Niche of people called "Developers". It seems a certain company has decided to cast aside "developers" and no longer cares about their interests. Instead they want to have an asset store that pretty much does it all for everyone. They apparently don't care that the "Developers" actually worked for years to make Marketplace Assets to sell specifically to other "developers". They apparently do not care that you don't make any sales at all because the Marketplace actually HAD a Q/A section that worked... it actually had a Review section that worked, where EVERY Developer looking to buy cool assets for Unreal Engine only had to open the website, and they could see everything "Unreal Engine" related, read thru the different new Assets being sold, check out the Q/A section to make sure the developer was a good dev and that the product was a good product, and then... then they could add that product to the "Wish List"... so that when they got some spare cash to spend, they could buy that product on the Marketplace. The failure here is NOT YOU. Your product looks excellent. The failure is with the Roll-out of Fab, the complete lack of respect that the roll-out gave to existing developers who "buy" and developers that "Sell". They purposely ignored the complaints of the developers who told them WE NEED a Q/A section. We need Wishlist... they only wanted to give Star "*" rating system. They did NOT bring over the old reviews for pre-existing content... they did NOT bring over the "Date" that the Asset was "actually" created... they simply gave EVERY asset the same "Creation Date"... and then they proceeded to Launch Fab regardless. So, if you are thinking... hmm, can my product suck that badly... is that why it is not selling... NO, that is NOT the reason. It is because FAB ignored the Marketplace Developers complaints... they purposeful tried to force their misguided approach to be the super store for "everything", as if every kid who plays a video game will suddenly become a developer, buy assets that have NOTHING to do with Unreal Engine, are not "pre-processed" to work with the engine, and just mix in all the "Marketplace" content with thousands of other assets that were not curated for Unreal Engine. DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF. All the blame falls on the lack of foresight and the lack of respect for the existing developer community by the execs who decided to "push this thru" regardless of the Developer Complaints.. Period. I will buy your product for that price... but I will not buy it thru Fab because they clearly did not care to do things in a way that would not be so incredibly disruptive to the actual Unreal Engine seller Devs and buyer Devs.

      did you try debugging it? check if your events are configured properly in the FootIK script and check your EffectsPlayer settings. Technically it should be easily debugable where the issue comes from :). Best regards, Kreshi.

    I can confirm this works on URP 14 (Unity 2022.3.46f), and gotta say it, works like a charm! Im also using Enviro 3 and this shader correctly renders after fog and volumetric clouds, it looks awesome!

    Это не сложно сделать, это называется инверсивная кинематика. Можно с помощью локальный осей преобразовывать положения конечностей под положения плоскости, получая данные через рейкастинг. Все как 2+2, все на много проще чем кажется 😎

    This game looks sick, I have some questions: Will this come out on the ps5? Will you sell physical copies? Will we have the ability to change our appearance? Will you be able to replay missions? (like on the menu screen) How long have you developed this? What inspired you to make your game a mix of a hack & slash and a third person shooter?

      Hi and thank you for your questions! 1) PS5 - I will keep the answer super simple, even though the answer is super complex: at this point in time there is a 50% chance that it will :). 2) Physical copies - can't say yet. 3) Appearance changes - only to a small degree. 4) Replay missions - absolutely! 5) Development time - about 10 months, but this also includes learning UE5. 6) Inspiration - I love this genre mix since I played "Bid For Power" for the very first time when I was still a teenager :).

I like the idea of a mix of hack & slash and 3rd person shooting, there are two games that did what you are doing (devil`s third and wanted: Dead) but unfortunately based on what ppl think those games were not great, who knows your game could be better then those and if your game has it to where you can pull off multiple combos you are already winning. If you want some inspirations I suggest you look up those games I mentioned. Whether it comes on ps5 with physical copies or not (but I highlight suggest you do) I appreciate you making a hack & slash game, more so for the fact that you`re also adding 3rd person shooting in it too. The developer of Wanted: Dead wanted to pave the way for a new sub-genre of H&S/TPS games to be made and I'm glad to see you`re doing that whether you realise it or not. H&S games have been in the decline for some years but thanks to developers like you making your own games they are making a comeback I have a list of over 10 H&S games that are either out now or currently in development. Just focus on making your game as fun and sick as possible and you will be raking it in, what you have now is already good, just keep at it. Lastly just for something for you to think about, the developer of Steller Blade said that it is important for the back of the character to look better than the front of the character.

      @@maris.2505 So if you import the *.unitypackage file into your Unity project, you will find a file named "DistortionShaderGraph" in the folder "_HoaxGames/Distortion/DistortionEffect/". From that I generated the "DistortionShader" shader, which is also in the same folder :). Best regards, Kreshi

    I tried this out today in Unity 6, and it no longer works. There were some obsolete lines that I had no alternative for (with my level of understanding). It would be awesome if you could do a video on using this in Unity 6. If only shadergraph was able to capture screen alpha by default!

    Hi I just brought Istep today and it did immediately make my character come to life more. I’m still trying to find the right setting. At first when I put the script in my character was bouncing up and down thousands of times about a foot off the ground. I realized I may have his collider might be too tall and shortened it and that fixed it. But then he could no longer walk up on to steps I created that he could walk on perfectly before I changed that collider height. I’m trying to play with the settings to find the right spot where it will work for both my terrain with mesh colliders and steps that might have box collider is triggers. Plus have it not make one of his foot in crouch animation be off of the ground. If I fix it to work on steps it throws off the ground and he bounces and crouching looks shaky and weird. If I fix the ground and crouching somewhat he can’t walk up steps. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

    Hi, does iStep work with multiple colliders? I'm going to make a character controller using the CC component as the central collider (in the character's torso) and other colliders for the limbs.

      Yes it does. Just make sure the colliders are configured to a layer that iStep ignores :). The layers to which iStep reacts to can be configured within iStep ;). Best regards, Kreshi

    Just enabling this render feature causes massive error loops in my case, anyone else experienced this perhaps? using unity 2022.3, i really want to make this work!
