Some great views on this route. And as slow as I am, you get lots of time to enjoy them! Put on this video while you workout on the treadmill or stationary bike!

What guns do I need? Cowboy Action FAQs
The 3 Dies in a .45 ACP reloading kit is use only on this ammo while the 4 Dies is use for a .45 Colt or .45/70 ammo because it need crimping!
I was taught to never go off of the cantalure "crimp groove" only go based of OAL over all length ?
On the 4 die set the 3rd die is still a seat and crimp die. The 4th die, for Lee anyway, is the factory crimp die which also can "iron out" some deformities that the resizer missed or that was put in during the other processes. This, of course, is about pistol dies and not rifle dies. Great vid though, thank you!
In the rifles, the 4 die sets have a Full length die and a neck only sizing die. The pistols set just add a factory crimp die.
As soon as i saw this doods santa clause ass i knew hed learn me something on reloading
Liked your video Mr. Grizz! Very thorough unlike most I have watched (Jabb Intended). Most of the so-called pro reloaders never mention charging or which die the powder goes in. I do not comment much but just wanted to give ya way-to-go! 👍
Yeb that's what I've been seeing, the Hornady lock ring dies is the one to get and use, I'm looking at getting 4 sets of them
Excellent, the ah ha moment the Mud is clearer now , am thinking priming after resize & flare the case ??
Thanks Grizz! Loved your video! I’m a brand new shooter in Sass. I shot for the first time last Saturday. Did ok shooting my guns but had problems understanding the Process of each target. This really helped me . Happy trails ! Sagebrush Sam
*Great explanation, thank you for sharing*
The hex tool that was supplied is specifically for adjusting the safety slide. I was hoping to have someone explain that function in the derringer. IF you had read the instructions, it does a poor job with the explanation. The hex tool is NOT for removing the barrel or the grips.
Thanks for pointing that out, as you said, I apparently didn't fully read the instructions. Been so long I don't recall. It is the end user's responsibility to read and understand the operating and adjustment instructions', my apologies if I misled in any shape or form.
Not sure the age of your RCBS Press, however I will assume for the moment it a generation before mine late 70;s version. Mine has a removable center, and Hornady has a RCBS conversion bushing set for their Lock N Load system, man it worked great. I can take the ‘bushing’ and die put in the conversion and twist it is locked into place. You still need to set all the dies to proper settings then tighten that lock ring, afterwards just a twist it is in or out and your ready to reload. For a single stage press it works very nice. Save the Dillion for mostly for pistol rounds and the single for hunting rounds like 7mm REM Mag, 257 Roberts, or 556/223 the few rounds I do shoot. Nice video, best wishes for future postings.
What's the size of Allen screw? I can't find any that fits
1.75 speed works pretty good for this....
I’m curious about the difference between a 2 and 3 die set
I can’t speak for anyone else but u definitely helped me because I’m new to reloading and was wondering do I need to buy a four die set or is the three ok. 👍🏾✌🏾
Now I know the difference.I ordered a Lee progressive 4000 press and it only came with 3 dies but the separate other caliber dies I have ordered are 4 die sets.I was really confused but now I know the difference.thanks for the video.I’m still in the process of setting the press up and I know nothing about setting each die to their specifications and the instructions that came with this press may as well been no instructions
Good job
On the 4 die set, will the bullet seating die also crimp the bullet? Or not?
A year late, but yes
I also chose the Hornady lock rings. I love Lee’s dies but their lock rings aren’t great. That’s why I got 24 Hornady lock rings: one for each die in the Lee 4-die sets that I own in six different calibers.
Thx.
One eye is looking at ya, the other is looking for ya.
Don't forget to mention the 6 and 8 star pre crimp startters.
Sleep can't fix this kind of tired Ron.
Great explanation. Thank you for helping me understand these dies.
A Santa Claus with a beautiful weapon!!
Awesome vid, thanks from Australia Grizz!
How about neck sizing?
I'm loading 45 Long Colt and I have the three die lisset but do I need the factory crimp die
Can you get by with a 3 die a reloading set or do you have to have the 4 die
The first three dies in a Lee set are the same regardless, you can crimp and seat with the 3rd die. The 4th die is a factory crimp die which resizes and crimps
I got car sick by 2:30, I'm sure it was good information though. Invest in a tripod
Thanks for explaining. I'm in the process of trying to buy some dies right now and this helped answer one of my questions.
Looks like a pirate gun and a dueling pistol had a baby.
Thanks 👍 I'm new to reloading. Just got my press and all the tools needed to reload 9mm. I still have much to learn. Great video 👌
Good to the point video, thx
Thanks for the video sir.
00:01:20 That hat-cam had so much swagger in his step. Keep up the awesome shooting!
I love watching all of these cowboy shoot outs
Nobody: Me: Man Im so excited for the new video i have watched all of them
This looks so fun i would love to do that
I'm looking for info on setting up the seating die. I bought a used set and I think it's missing parts. It's hard to see the dies.
the seat die in the lee set also will do a taper crimp ...
I have striped all of my new(er) rcbs locking screws and was looking for a good replacement. The old ones I got from my grandfather had steel screws with some sort of backer that has groves and they work great. But the new ones were just not cutting it with me. The hornady ones look promising. If I like the 6 I ordered then I'll probably replace all my newer lock rings with them.
Thank you sir! 12 degrees that’s cold!
Good video well done
Hey grizzly Dave big furg here excited to shoot with you again soon it's always a blast!
Great explanation, I am new to reloading and I was wondering what the second die was for rcbs. I haven’t gotten to the flaring of case mouth yet, only resizing and re-primer. I am still doing some research for my 45-70 loads.
Cool vid I do like the idea of a derringer in 410 /45 long colt but then again I am a shotgun fan
Check out the Bond Arms Rowdy. Same 45LC/410 gun, without the high polish receiver, for $299.
JUST GETTING INTO RELOADING MY SELF & WAS WONDERING ABOUT THAT 3 & 4 DIE SETS,,
Nicely done, I learned something today!
Short and sweet demonstration. Thanks. I've forgotten about my hammer block safety on my single action revolver a few times. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
