Is it accurate to conclude that this tune is a variant of "MacLeod of Gesto's Salute"? Yes, they seem related, but do you have evidence that Gesto's is older, or an original composition? Who's to say the piper who named his tune "MacLeod of Gesto's" didn't... borrow or regurgitate "Hiharin Hodin"?

I'm curious, in your opinion what is the best Piobaireachd album available that accurately presents the music as it should be played?
